Mr. Lorenzana, I humbly suggest that you are totally missing the point of what is being brought to fruition because you have yet, just like so many other Americans, to accept the fact that we electronically generate we the peoples' $s in order to meet federal expenditures, ever since the 'formal' (we've always done this) adoption of QE2 back in 2009..., over FIFTEEN-YEARS ago, without any real negative consequences, and without the need to have even one cent of federal tax revenue $s being involved. The crux of the matter being that even though we the peoples' electronically generated $s spend exactly the same as we the peoples' forty-hour workweek paycheck $s, it is nonetheless impossible to actually borrow or payback, for that matter (which is to also quote Fed Chairman Powell), we the peoples' electronically generated $s simply because these electronically generated $s are..., electronically generated. AND YES..., it is all just that simple, as far as "The Big Picture" is concerned. With these irrefutable facts thus stated it all adds up to mean that we do NOT actually have a real national debt, just a pretend national debt that is really just our irrelevant federal deficit, as far as the amount whereas exactly what we the peoples' electronically generated $s are being spent on is the real issue. GO DOGE! These facts are the real reason why President Trump and our Congress can, and eventually will eliminate our totally defunct, out totally useless, our totally obsolete federal tax revenue system, it's just that at this time they are having a very difficult time figuring out how to tell we the people after lying to us for all of these years. Then too, there is the loss of the power and the authority of our U. I am not a CPA or tax lawyer. You should always consult a licensed CPA on the topic of 1099 and 1099k. For those asking or confused on receiving a 1099k from ebay that are selling used, personal items that you are taking a loss on doesn't mean you have to pay taxes on those amounts. For example, if you sold personal items in 2024 (used clothes, used toys, used electronics, etc) on ebay and it totaled $5000, you will be notified that a 1099k form is ready for you. Ebay still generates a 1099k, regardless if you sold below the IRS threshold that year. When you file this on your taxes, you can identify the items that you took a monetary loss on. You can also identify your expenses for selling the items (shipping costs, packing materials, etc). The IRS typically (again, typically, but there are different tax rules for selling personal items like cars, RV's, homes, boats, motorcycles, etc) doesn't tax you on those types of sales. However, you're supposed to file them on "good faith", regardless if it is below the IRS threshold. Again, this is for personal items sold at a loss. If you don't file the 1099k form that cover these items, the IRS may come asking. But, as long as you have receipts and justifications for the items, you'll be ok. You will just have to deal with the inconvenience of being audited. Some people do not file the 1099k form for personal items sold and deal with the IRS later, if they come calling (audit). IRS is looking for small businesses, LLC's, ebay sellers that are selling products and services that are at a gain/profit. And typically those will always be over the IRS threshold, mostly. Again, i am not a CPA or tax lawyer. You should always consult a licensed and reputable CPA or tax lawyer.

Noel I received a 1099-K showing on 1A for 7686.02, but I only received 5,431.90 from Ticketmaster. I called Ticketmaster and was advised they are required to show the total gross on 1a which includes all fees the seller was charged and also the fees that buyer paid. So what is happening here is the Money I received does not match the total on 1a. hopefully the tax app will explain???? I heard you say make sure the Money received should match 1a?

What if the gross income on the 1099-k is wrong. Live Nation Worldwide, Inc. the parent company of Ticketmaster LLC put the income that Ticketmaster made on the sale of my tickets as my gross income when it was Ticketmaster's income. Example, list ticket on Ticketmaster for $100. Ticketmaster's payment to me is minus 10% or $90. The ticket I list for $100, the buyer pays $121. I don't see any of that money. The $10, plus the $21 that Ticketmaster's is making, is for some reason included as my gross income. IT IS NOT. My gross is what is sent to my bank account $90, and if the ticket cost me $50, then my net is $40. My bank records prove that the 1099-k gross income is a lie.
