It’s a good way to get the bulk of it off but unfortunately hand washing is the only way to really get that all off. For the winter months I suggest taking it to a detailing once or twice and then doing washes like this in between. It just may require spraying the car down a little longer.

Yes it absolutely will as tire shin is extremely slippery and will cause the tire to slip, which is exactly what traction control is designed to detect

As for the sponge it’s not a beauty contest, anything you can use to apply tire shine is just fine. Even a finger in a pinch if you’re a daring individual

No I always have some left over. This car takes 4litres. So I mark that on the jug and then pour. My old mini would burn some oil so it was good to have the left over to keep topping it up 😂
