If you install livescope exactly as the instructions say. All you have to do is tilt the transducer up in the back so the leading edge is level/even/parallel to the bottom of the boat. This will do the exact same thing and keep the transom from blocking the part if the 135deg sonar beam that aims a little bit forward. In the installation manual refer to trolling motor mount orientation for "motor" #1 or "shaft" #3 position... the only thing that may need to be fabricated is a flap to prevent a rooster tail from the angled up bracket if installed too low.... There will be minimal drag and full coverage this way... Big advantage if you have recessed trim tabs flush to the transom like my Tidewater 380cc because you only have to drill one 1/4" hole in the trim tab and use the existing annode hole with an L bracket... now your trim tab is an automatic adjuster for down view..... leave slack for trim tab movement and use a rubber hose around the cable with zip ties to hold the cable without damaging it... electrical tape everywhere else bc zip ties can hurt the cable... ferrite magnet on power wire for noise....

You don't mention the white pad that's on your boat. Is that a separate piece or an optical illusion because of the white boat and the blue tape.

Here's a Q. from left field. I have an old English Seafarer flasher type depth sounder, with no transducer. I have no idea what the Freq is nor what the impedence of the cable should be. Have you got any idea ? I suppose I could assume a value of 100 ohms, make a dummy load, and put a frequency counter on it. I am assuming an F in the 50-250 Kc(KHz) range. Been saving it for years (40 ?). Any help much appreciated.
