It is a 1080p GoPro Hero + from 2015. No effects built in so I used clipchamp from Microsoft 😊
lol. Running the video at 16x speed makes it look worse than it is :)
@@larswet is this from a GoPro? Does it have a Time Warp more? If so, I had great luck with that for compressing time.
Wow that turbulence looks like a bear! Where are you flying?
Nice!
date corrected. Thanks. I thought today was the 18th for some reason ;)
Very fun!
It is!
How were you able to obtain video from three days in the future??
Larry has always been ahead of his time.
I fixed the date. It's hard to remember what day is what without an office job to keep me anchored
Got yourself an air-trike?
Yep. Been flying it since 2015 :)
Looks like fun! Just wondering Mr. West , are y’all flying out of the paramotor city field? Wasn’t sure if that field is still around, and open to flyers. Thanks for posting!
Back in the air soon I hope, man it’s looking super dry out there! Thanks for posting!
Nicely played.
How do I get in on this? 😃
The algorithm does it again, still nice swoop though🤙
Ya, so what? Five years later, we got......
Do you happen to have this full show filmed, and if so can you upload it? I really enjoy this musical and I'd love to see even a community production! I already enjoy what I'm hearing. You're so lucky to have been in this show 😁
Very cool. Ignorant question, but do you accelerate a bit at the end to give it a little bit of lift to be more "nose up?" And, is the unstrapping activity at the end to keep wind or anything from catching your wings to make sure they don't get inflated? (Ignore me if you don't feel like answering ignorant questions!!!!!)
I am SO GLAD you got a helmet cam! What a great group of friends you guys are!
You guys are such cool friends. :-)
Back in like the late 80's I was friends with a great guy who was a test pilot for Honeywell. He also was writing code for flight simulation program (multi-talented, and such a good person... ANYWAY), and I was the voice for it. One of his friends (and BETA testers) had a "thing" for my voice, and would keep doing things during the BETA to hear it (probably just to annoy Ivan...) However, for REAL, the friend also kept forgetting to put the gear down, so Ivan had me record a special audio file where instead of smooth, unflappable instructions, my computer SIM voice changed into a harshly scolding reprieve: "For <BLEEPS> sake, Russel! Pull your head out of your BLEEP and put the <BLEEPING> gear down!!" Ivan was SO PLEASED with himself, because the audio file was big enough that it kept causing the SIM to crash, so Russel downloaded it and played it incessantly on his OWN time vs. creating bad data on Ivan's Flight Simulator! ROFL! WOW...! I'd not thought about that for DECADES! But WHY did I?!!?! Somehow realizing how uncomfortable it must be for you to have to keep your 6'5 frame all compressed to get off the ground, by the simple act of you lowering your legs THE MINUTE you were clear, somehow conjured up the "Gear Down" memory. TOTALLY bizarre how the mind works...!
Thanks Kimberly! Now every time I launch or land I’ll hear YOUR voice chastising me for my gear choice :) LOL
LOL. "A massive ball of shit"
ROFL! YES IT DOES! (Phone is working!)
This looks pretty damn fun! I watch Tucker Gott I think his name is. Makes me want to get into the hobby. Fly safe and as always enjoy yourself each and everyday of your life if and when you can. God Bless
I just came from watching him lol
Chasing the Sun!! Nice
I had an hour of video, but it gets kind of boring when you’re not the one flying it.
Wow... that didn't seem to take long at all to become airborne! I was hoping you'd keep filming until you at least kicked your feet off the foot pegs! That looks like SO much stinking fun!
Are you really Steve’s son Mr. Pupaaya?
Yes I am
Thas ma dad
Clock wasn't set on the camera. It actually was done on June 8 of 2019
I'm debating adding the A assist, and a hoop line protector. I'd welcome any opinion.
Rio Puerco valley West of Albuquerque.
Nice. Sure is flat around there :)
So t mount my camera on the frame any more. Poor camera did not like the vibration
What's your opinion of the Apco Game? I was thinking of buying a tandem paraglider and this one is on the short list. What's your all up weight? Also was it an efficient paraglider?
I can only comment on it from a paramotor stand point. My full up flying weight with gas is about 550 lbs. I also fly at a 5300 foot field elevation.I found it much more responsive that the Thrust IV or the Play 42 which I have flown with this trike. Almost too responsive. It is not a hands off wing in any turbulence. With the thrust, which I was overloading, it would fly fast and straight thru the turbulence. The Game, with 30 % more wing is much more sensitive. However, it climbs great, reduced my takeoff roll an honest 50% (once I figured out how to launch it.) and reduced my cruse RPM by 300 RPM. As I said it is a very responsive wing. The adds say "it flies like a solo wing", I can confirm that. It is in my opinion a very efficient wing. Let me know if you have any more questions.
That was an ugly take off!
Hi Buzz. visit flysandia.org and register on our forum from the link there and visit our Yahoo Group at sandia soaring and sign up. i will approve your sign on and then you can download maps and get contact numbers and get to know our little band of aviators :) There is someone going up every week when the weather is good.
I would like to fly this site, I think I found it on Google Earth, but would greatly appreciate access info and any safety information you can provide. Thanks!
Thanks Larry. Very nice. Please ensure that the will is up to date. Tnx - Jerry
is there somebody who can teach you or any please that i can go to see how you fly
Hi Bill. I haven't seen or spoken with Steve in over 5 years. Dont even know where he lives or works now. sorry.
Good landing Steve. Larry tell Steve I've been waiting just trying to get a word in edgewise about the good landing.
Good observation Nick
From the looks of the frontal was caused by rotor off the trees below the pilot. Looks like hes flying a Niviuk Hook DHV1-2. In my experience, you need to ride the breaks hard in thermic conditions. Great wings in the right hands.

very nice!!!
Awesome tunes on your vids!
