After a long (but not as much as some) ride, I arrived at Liverpool about 5:25pm and boarded the ferry at 7:08pm. We disembarked in Douglas at 11:22pm. Eventually, after the bloke in front of me turned up.

Creg-ny-Baa road, they WRONG way from Brandish. The sign said "Ignore Your Sat Nav", at which point I realised where I was and turned around bloody quick!

Wednesday 31ST May 2017. The weather improved a bit, I did a loop of the South of the Island. Niarbyl, Port ST Mary, Port Erin, Castletown. Marshalling at Sarah' Cottage.

Quite possibly the slowest motorbike ride around parts of he Isle of Man circuit. I didn't get over the mountain as it was closed on the occasions I got near it. Those eagle eyed among you might even notice a small duplication of one clip. Marshalling at Helicopter Field by Glen Helen.
Just been for a weeks stay - no TT though :-(

I'm desperate to sort this for next year, I find the booking so confusing. Was it £285 in total just for the ferries?
Dangleplums yes it wasn’t cheap but they take a deposit to secure the booking then remainder nearer the date.

bowches hi there. Last year it was £285 in total. The took about £70 deposit. And the remainder nearer the departure date. Rgds L

bowches I did a home stay. About £25 per person per night. Bed and breakfast. Really lovely people I’m staying with them again this year for the MGP. The advice to me when I said I was going to camp was not too as when the weather comes in it really comes in. And it did rain quite a lot last year. Home stay was the best decision. If you want a hotel you’ll be lucky to find anything not costing a fortune. If you go on the IOM TT website or FB pages you’ll find loads of people advertising Home stay or whole houses. Enjoy.
ok So to defeat any bad weather you recommend home stay which is 25 pounds per night. It is myself and my brother. can that be 25 pounds for two people? Thank you
bowches you’d have to book with the homestay people. It’s basically b&b but the whole island gets involved. It’s what was recommended to me and I loved it. I’m going out for the MGP this year.

RichyVida yes. Having ridden the best part of 270 miles the previous day we decided a short ride for tea and cake was the order of the day. Glad you found our blockbuster. Take note of our (my) camera and editing skills, you'll learn nothing 😀.
