I was in the Army a lifetime ago, but I could swear the AT4 does NOT have ANY 9mm rounds. That would be the SMAW which coincidentally was/is a USMC exclusive weapon system. Kinda like the Gustavs used to be in The Regiment. Too many Crayons, cool story though. RLTW

You’re thinking of the SMAW with the 6 spotting tracer rounds. The AT4 doesn’t have spotting rounds for the rocket. There’s at4 trainers that use the 9mm spotting tracers but you can’t fire a live rocket from it. The AT4 is literally just the rocket. Just like the LAW. No spotting rounds except for on the SMAW brotha.

As a young Marine in the barracks when I was alone. It was strangely soothing to hear the soft putter of distant machine gun fire and the slight explosions in the distance as I knew Marines were training and most importantly I knew Marines were watching. Keeping us safe

This guy is speaking out of pocket. The only type of AT4 that fires a 9mm are training AT4. He’s either conflating this with the targeting protocols of a SMAW or flat out lying to try and impress his friends.

Is it this guy’s goal to make everybody dumber? First of all you don’t even remember how to hold an AT4? Secondly… What AT4 shoots bullets too? I never carried one, but is he maybe talking about the grenade launcher that goes on the M-16‘s? Although that wouldn’t be 9 mm.

Maybe he is thinking of the SMAW? The SMAW uses tracers to do that...

I went to Kenya to a place with dangerous animals. The police gave us a guard with an old Enfield. All day, this guy followed us around with his rifle. We visited villages, saw crocodiles in the river, watched hippos, Etc. Then when dusk came, he reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a SINGLE round and loads his rifle. 303 British must be hard to come by, I guess.
