Ustad Zakir Hussein Composition is being heard at the World Bank (IBRD)
It was my humble desire to hail great maestros of Indian Classical Music amidst the
prestigious walls of the World Bank where there are189 member countries are represented. Through the avenue of the World Bank, the four corners of the world could be reached by presenting a “Tukra” one of his famous compositions taught by Ustad Zakir Hussein Ji. Though he never performed at the World Bank, nevertheless his presence will be venerated for having his composition; performed by none other than the President of the World Bank, Jim Wolfensohn through “Lotus Orchestra”.
