5 Songs That Make Me Feel Like I'm in a Movie
Agatha is a villain she’s been a full blown serial killer for no just reason I won’t call that antihero. Ps: the show is amazing.
I love how this video switched up into a commentary on Audrey Plaza, and I am here for it !!!!!!!!!
She’s the best!!!
oh youre really underrated
Thank you!!
really good video! loved all the points you raised and why yes i’m biased on my 4th viewing of the series - this is a great reference video with legitimate reasons why the show is good and not just my fangirling psycho babble
Thanks so much!!
13:49 Good sir, I respectfully disagree. Billie goes HARD
@13:49 gotta say I completely disagree. I was screaming SLAYYYY QUEEN my first time watching
It's seven words KATHRYN FUCKING HAHN AND AUBREY FUCKING PLAZA
Omg FOR REAL!
So the Hex is like the time chamber in Dragon Ball. Wanda levelled up in her hex or cocoon. Billie did the same. I'm here for it.
As an Australian from their home town I’ve been a fan from the beginning. Seen them multiple times as they were coming up. I was so looking forward to this but man this album is fucking terrible. I can’t loose you and Control is pretty good and the title track is ok but that’s about it.
Why these videos lowkey tough bro deserves more subs fr
He should market himself on tt with short clips of his vids
My favorite thing about this show was that it didn't feel like a Marvel show, it had the tone of a witchy magic show with some Marvelly undertones. It had everything delightfully unusual that I adore from shows and movies about witches. Picking and choosing what it explains and when, keeping the magic tucked away only for when its useful, the personality of the characters! William is a perfect view into the magic we don't know, and then thats ripped away from us when we learn he made the road. I also adore that this is like, one of the gayest Marvel products? Like, yes give me a wacky evil witchy show with two queer leads and just actually death herself? More please?
This and WandaVision show what Marvel TV can be. Smaller, focused stories with character development that can't be as fully fleshed out in a feature film. It helps that everyone involved, from prop masters to set designers to lighting techs to actors, were all on top of their game and rose to the level of the writing. And while I'm not usually one to jawdrop at music scores the essential role it plays in the series deserves recognition for it's brilliance.
funfact; the broom scene wasnt CGI, it was puppets on a well painted moving background combined with shots from the actors on the brooms.
Wait I had no idea that’s awesome!
@ yeah I fully reccomend watching the marvel assembled for this show. It’s an hr long video of how they did everything. This show using the least amount of CGI in marvel history is kinda amazing. And we should respect how much practical effects we got and how good they all looked.
They should've used 'bury a friend' as the soundtrack instead of 'you should see me in a crown''. Bury a friend have that sinister production that slowly builds up and the first line of the song is literally "BILLY", he also technically buried them when he kick them of the road, so it would be such a perfect soundtrack 😭
Wait YES that would’ve been amazing!!! 🤯
Also should've played "Agatha All Along" at the end of the last episode
They used that song to VERY good effect in True Detective: Night Country
Agatha All Along was a fantastic tv series. Everyone who worked on that show should be proud of the end result.
I agree with the first half of this video but towards the end i start to dissagree. Yes in the last episode they use their powers but to say the show resorts to just using mcu lazer beams is silly. Yes they use them but not in a way that goes agains the rest of the show. The show shows us what witches magic looks like several times throught and the final 2 episode they only use it a hand full of times to fight. In the future nal flashback agatha steals power a lot but thats just how her magic looks and has veen established several times through this and wanda vision. As for the Billy ellish song. Sure maybe it was a little cheasy but i dont think it was bad. For me it was one of my favorite moments in the show and left me very hyped for the next episode. I think the issue that a lot of people have with it is not actually due to how it was executed but actually a result of media burnout that cimes with overconsumption of media. Ive noticed that with our generation, we consume so much more media that pervious generations and we also find way more things "cringy" and i think it works to the detriment of our own enjoyment of many things. As someone who doesnt watch a lot of movies, shows and tiktok in comparison to a lot of people in my generation, ive noticed that these strong feelings of disgust at these so called cringe moments arent really a thing. Finally i liked the broomstick moment. I thought ut was fun and a nice monent of joy that referenced witches well. Sure it apparently had bad CGI but as a casual viewer, i didnt notice it at all and beither did the majority of people i know who arent huge film people. Again i think this is an issue with overconsumption/production of media. Also one last thing i dissagree with is the ralph boner scene. Where you highlight it as one of the funnier scenes, it felt like the most flat, unfunny and awquard moments in the show. The joke didnt land with me in Wandavision either. It just felt so randome for no reason and is only supposedly funny because it says bonner. Doubling down on it in this project just felt like beating a dead horse. It was uncomfortable to watch with my family as they didnt get it and overall it just didnt land.
I believe he used the Ralph Bohner scene as an example of how the show depicted consequences, which it did very well. Ralph has clearly been traumatized (doubly so, given both Wanda and Agatha) by past events in Westview. Sure, Evan Peters' choices have a humorous bent (using a lizard totem) but he manages to convey a paranoid, damaged person who also gives Billy key information he needs. I loved that scene. It spawned so many T-shirts!
I personally felt that the constraints set for the show’s production heavily influenced the successful results we got. For example, the lack of large-scale action scenes allowed the show to feel much more intimate, which felt very fresh for a Marvel story. Side note: really enjoyed this analysis 💜
Thank you!! 💜
My only disagreement here is on the Billie Eilish needle drop. Because my cackle at that was incredibly witchy 😂
LOL I love that 😂😂😂
Wouldn't call Agatha an antihero. She's most definitely a villain. An amazing one though.
Yes. Her original motive at the beginning of the show was straight up villainous.
More like an antivillain
Agatha is a deconstructed anti-proto-villain. Just kidding. I think it's funny how we keep breaking down labels into tinier labels. Not bagging it. I do the same 😊
She’s an anti-hero in the sense that she’s against (anti) the hero, therefore she’s a villain 😂
She's a villain that the narrative keeps using as a freelance hero. 😁
I think episode 7 and 8 were the best, the rest though, singing and making an antidote in a beach house, it was very cringe and I rarely use this word, plus it is not explained how Agatha and Rio met and became a couple, doesn't make sense why Rio showed up out of nowhere to fight Agatha and warn her about the Salem seven, Billy knows what a sigil is in the flashback but doesn't know what is it when the witches tell him one is cast on him, him seeing Agatha kill Alice then giving her power later and telling her that she's not bad and even letting her stick around after her death, this show has issues
🤦🏻♀️ Because Rio didn't actually want her dead. They're obviously not very open or healthy in this relationship. You may have found it cringe, but most did not.
@XKathXgames bestie you gotta start demanding better
The song was one of my favorite parts. Especially for a show coming out during the Halloween season
so you did not pey attintion
@@crapreact5989 Jen saying "over dead bodies" isn't an explanation for how death met and fell in love with Agatha, stop pretending like this series is so advanced and that those of us that criticize just aren't smart enough to get it
This analysis is awesome! I can't believe this only has a few views!🤨
Thanks so much!! 🤩
I relate a lot with first 'liking' blue rev and that growing into falling in love with it. I discovered Alvvays when I worked at Starbucks and Dreams Tonite would play every now and then on the store radio. Antisocialites as a whole became a regular part of my music listening but I never really ventured into their other albums (besides popular singles) before I kinda slowly forgot about them. Blue Rev eventually came out and I do remember listening to it but it didn't really grab me at first. I remember thinking it was too noisy, kinda all over the place, and different from what I wanted. Within the past year I rediscovered them entirely and I when I went back to Blue Rev it was a completely different story. It was like, "Oh Velveteen is lovely. I love this song." and then from the center of the album the infatuation began. Belinda Says hits like a truck. Many Mirrors is a lovely wispy reprieve from the emotional heaviness of the rest of the album. From the inside growing outward my love for this album bloomed. That freaking "I know you're baaaaaack" after a 5 year wait from Antisocialites is such an iconic opening for the whole thing.
Like the album overall rating ✔️ 😊😊 your content is great just subscribed
Thanks so much!!
I love the first Gladiator and I am really looking foward to see Wicked but Gladiator 2 is just a (not so) cheap rip-off of the first movie. Not really worth seeing it. Imho it brings nothing new to the table.
No it’s not
Here to support smaller channels keep up the good work man hope to see this channel blow up
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the support!
No one gives a shit about gladiator 2 lmao
One of the best reviews of this album I've seen so far and one of the only reviewers that peeped Kendrick's intent to dive into such a regional, quirky and and outlandish soundscapes and flows. It is definitely the best record to put out not only to revitalize his sound and persona but also to introduce new, or rather neglected, sub genres of hiphop into the mainstream. GNX might not have the staying power of a GKMC or a TPAB but it is definitely what needs to be heard from him at the moment.
100% agree! It’ll take a bit of time but this subgenre and sound is going to be so influential this decade, and it’s because he’s always willing to do the opposite of what’s expected of him
This album is great, maybe it’s because I didn’t grow up with them when they were at their peak so I appreciate it a lot more. it’s mostly millennials between the age of 30 and 40 who don’t like their new sound. not to mention some OG fans want Mike to fire Emily due to her ties to Scientology and the fact that she supported a rapist.
Totally agree! I love how it evolves their sound but still feels very Linkin Park. That 2000s era can’t be repeated but instead they re-contextualize it for now which is awesome
They're definitely not the world's best singers but this isn't the kind of music that needs impressive vocal performances. Great party dance music. Sicko reminds me of later Depeche Mode as much as it reminds me of Trent Reznor. I love Real Move Touch, it's one of the most 1997 things I've ever heard. This is in my top 10 (but not top 5) albums of the year.
Seriously! It fits that particular vibe so perfectly, and good point on the Depeche Mode influence, I hadn’t caught that!
Wrong Idea doesn't sound underdeveloped at all to me, the very authentic sounding 90s club vocal sets it apart from the rest of the tracks, very atmospheric and catchy as it is!
Fair point! Wrong Idea has grown on me a ton after repeat listens
I just discovered these guys in the last few weeks (courtesy of a DJ set on the Mixmag channel) and they have rapidly become my new favourite band. I've bought all three of their albums and think they're all awesome. As an aging raver from the UK (48) I absolutely love the old skool rave feel of a lot of their stuff.
They’re so awesome!!! One of my new favorite bands as well 😎
Chappell doesn't seem to miss. I can't name one song where I would say, nahhh. I agree with you: her next album is going to go ballistic. She'll be doing stadium tours in the foreseeable future.
Seriously!!!
ive never seen a better video with this few views
HOW DOES THIS NOT HAVE MORE VIEWS????
bro thats what im saying, i would have said something sooner but i had to annotate my classmates analysis papers lol
@ fr its got a detailed analysis of the album and he gives his real opinions. w video
To me, who stopped watching after Endgame, I saw Far from Home, and No Way Home for me NWH ended Peter’s journey in the mcu I’m done ✔️
That’s totally fair! I felt like NWH really was the perfect way to close out Spider-Man’s time in the MCU
@ agreed dude 👍
I love the editing! I enjoyed every second of this video. New sub!
Thanks so much!!
No it's a pretty bad album. The lyrics in particular, are embarrassingly bad.
Having only listened to 1 album and a handful of singles by them, the snippets I heard from Moon Music sound pleasing to try in full. Good review btw
Thank you!!
Best song IAAM (I Am A Mountain) 👍😃👍
Superb Editing! You're Going Places, Dudley. Stay UP.
Thanks so much!!!
'the most adamant generation, ever' is On the Nose, AF
Really well spoken, really good review. 👍
Thank you!!
Best song...Good Feelings!
I wonder which one of Katy's flunkies is gonna have the nerve to tell her that she's 40 and her career is over?🤔
The best thing about this video is the updated discography ranking 😆
I simply love her new album ❤❤❤
Could not have said it better. She’s been going down hill for years especially when she decided to get political. Why can’t celebrities stay out of politics. They’re so fucking removed from reality they don’t know what the hell they’re taking about. So much for feminism while gyrating half naked for the world to see. Just not good at all.
Totally unrelated, but where did you get that ROCKING jacket??? I just couldn’t stop staring at it the whole time!
Thanks!! I got it from Lars Amadeus off of Amazon! 🤩
What happened to your sense of style? really.
