Each year, at the end of Band Camp, The SUMB and the Lambda Delta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi host a picnic to celebrate the accomplishments of the band. At this picnic, the band gives out rookie and vet of the year awards, and welcomes the rookie class into the band with the tradition of singing the alma mater to the vets.

Every year during band camp, the rookies are introduced to the time-honored tradition of signing the Alma Mater after every rehearsal. In this video, the rookies watch the veterans sing the Alma Mater together for the first time in two years.

On October 29, the Shippensburg University Percussion Section (SUPS) recorded their arrangement of Zedd's "The Middle."
