Thank you for watching. I appreciate the comment on the needleminders. I am looking forward to trying out some of my other accessory ideas using them...I have a couple I need to design and try. You can make a lot of minders using them for fairly cheap. There are so many patterns/designs out there you can use. Part of reducing the amount of challenge groups I am in means I also don't need to try to track what I am stitching for what group, which also cuts into stitchy time....taking start pics and end pics, counting stitches.... I will probably continue to keep track of stitch count though more for personal tracking. Thanks again for watching!

Happy new year!! Thank you for posting! Mom's bruises are all but gone now, still dealing with some residual soreness and issues with her left knee that hit the ground pretty hard when she fell. She is going in for an MRI later this week to hopefully rule out ligament damage around her knee cap area.

Thank you for watching and commenting Lucinda! I wanted a project board for the longest time, finally got around to making one. Using the canvas board from Dollar Tree though was nice, and gave the board a bit more weight than had I used foam core (and cheaper to boot). I may make another couple down the road to have in various places, or to take to retreats and what not as display boards for those stitching finishes that aren't fully finished.

Yeah, I was surprised too when I got the email notification a couple weeks before. I had to go back to the website and pull up my order from March 2022 to verify. I am guessing they were having serious supply issues. Thank you for watching!

Thank you so much for replying. I appreciate all the newbie tips and suggestions. I have a mighty winder wingnut tightener coming that my mom can also use for her wooden cross stitch hoops and floor frame wing nuts. For the hoops, for now I will stick with the Morgans until I get further into the craft and branch out into bigger projects...trying to keep it somewhat simple at this point. I might have been the one that asked about covering up the patterns. I may have to see if I can pixelate or blurr out parts of my videos if I plan on a punch with me at some point, or just plan on covering up my work area somehow. Cross stitchers are very cognizant about not showing actual patterns due to copyright, so hopefully I can make it work. I am almost ready to start my first couple projects, and have a bit of Valdani to try for one of them. Planning on doing 3 stranded DMC to start. I have been scouring youtube, including your channel, to get more tips and inspiration. Thanks again for your input....it is super helpful!

@@tinafraser682 I use 6 strands of DMC, even if the pattern calls for 3 strands. The only time I use 3, is in tiny spots, for fine detail. I enjoy the process, but I also enjoy the finish, so I use 6 strands to get it done quicker.

I found myself overwhelmed at times last year trying to keep track of what I am stitching for what challenges. This year I created a small spreadsheet I printed out for each project I work on so I can write down what group it is for (or multiples if I am double dipping - using the same stitch counts for multiple challenges), how many stitches are required for each challenge, and whether I have posted the completion for that challenge. So far I only have 2 projects on it since the 1st, but I used those projects for about 10 challenge prompts for various groups (like WIPGO, one I have to do 500 stitches to finish WIPGO, but...there are 4 other groups that only need 100 stitch increments, so I can use the 500 stitches for WIPGO and count them in parts for other groups). Four Seasons was a HAED I was looking at for almost a year before I bought it, then it took another year for me to start it. I restarted it last year because I got the easy count pregridded fabric for several other pieces, and decided not to continue to grid my own fabric. Mom says hi back. Hope your New Year is going well.

I just happend to be finishing a small project and was sprinkling my Diamond Dust when I saw uour video. I did not know that Joann's has that jar of glitter! And I was heading there to use my coupon today! Thanks Tip: I used parchment paper a bit larger than my Easter egg projectand then was able to pour it back easily in my little Dotz container.
