Gentleness as a Christian virtue - Peter Orr
To the unmarried he is talking to people who have never been married. Not divorced people. Conversion does not change relationships especially covenant marriage 49:35 . He just added to 1st Corinthians. By saying the concession was to reconcile or remain single. Then he says that if your divorced and burn with oassiin go ahead ad remarry. That was fir never married peopleand widows. This guy is more all over the place than anyone I've heard. And I've listened to about a thousand hours. And read the bible. He said he doesnt know why paul used duollo in 1st Corinthians instead if deo which is the word for the marriage bond the reason is paul wasn't saying we are free from or marriage bonds. We are not enslaved to give up our God or beliefs. We are t be at peace to make peace.
If ypu dont attend a homosexual marriage it does not say ypu are no longer a member of family anymore. It means you don't celebrate sin. 2st thessolonians 5v23. It should not be spoken among ypu. Similar to a adulterous remarriage. Jesus cals it adultery. If the church was to disciple people properly and gives church discipline two things would happen. One we remove any Levin that can ruin the batch. And tw marriages would be saved
Thank you so much Paul, great talk.
It’s an old video… nevertheless, I’m not sure if it’s good to encourage husbands to not love their wives too much when we are averaging 1 Australian woman killed every 4 days by a partner or ex-partner.
Any wisdom on cases of abuse?
In today's world people divorce for many different reasons The only divorce that can free a wife from her husband is divorce due to fornication not adultery If a woman divorces her husband she should keep this in mind Mark 10:12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. So a woman who divorces her husband should not marry another while he lives

Matthew's detailed account of Jesus referring to a Canaanite mother and daughter iin desperate need of healing as begging "dogs" at their master's table IS REASONABLY VIEWED BY MOST READERS AS NOT ONLY MISOGYNISTIC BUT ALSO RACIAL DISCRIMINATION. THE SPEAKER PURPOSELY GLOSSES OVER A VERY SIGNIFICANT STATEMENT BY JESUS . EVEN THOUGH JESUS HEARS WHAT SHE IS TELLING HIM AND KNOWS THAT SHE IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELP, HIS 1ST DECIION IS TO IGNORE HER. YET SHE IS NOT DISSUADED. JESUS THEN TELLS HER EXACTLY WHY! He was ONLY sent to the Lost Sheep of Israel. This ethnic demographic also has numerous passages that references this group as "Children of Israel". Jesus' blatant racially charged view concerning a Canaanite should not be surprising. The Old Testament has numerous passages hell-bent on discriminating and demonizing Canaanites whom coincidentally were targeted because they were commanded by their God to steal their land. This is the so-called "promise land" they would somehow illegally inherit! It's sad that Christian's are learning through Apologetics to unreasonbly interpret controversial passages so as they are seen as "not so controversial/immoral".
Brilliant lecture. As coordinator of Fitness 4 blokes at Berwick Anglican Church, Melbourne, I found this extremely interesting and relevant. Would make an awesome Men's Breakfast presentation
I cant buy this book anymore its out of print and not available on kindle Do you have any ideas?
Men and women different thats it
It's not a belief, it's facts based off evidence. Unlike religion, which is based off an inability to understand those facts.
Life from death, order from chaos, increasing complexity of living things, social structures, thought structures, AI, technological singularity. It's all one process.
'Unpurposed Evolution'?
All Abrahamic religions are misogynistic. They are religions of the penis, making the penis owners the leaders, the prophets, the deity and the judges. Before the monotheistic religions, goddesses reigned.
Western nations gave birth to the age of enlightenment, humanism, and modernism. The intellectual nourishment of the individual was at the center of these movements. However, there was always a sense of community, this concept is rapidly disappearing in the West with change in demographics that are culturally different to the host nation and through the birth of post-modernism, which is the anti-thesis of man as the center of focus. This philosophical take on the paradigm of our world is poison.
So, #Trump is right again, pushing for "multiculturalism" is poisoning American blood. It just makes sense. God placed peoples in different places for a reason!
Whatever happened to the doctrine of the perspicuity of Scripture?
I watch you from Brazil 🇧🇷...God bless you 🙏
So interesting! Would have loved Ed’s critique of this type of masculinity, and its influence on Christian masculinity in recent years and now (especially non-American manifestations.)
Thank you, JWW.
I agree. The story of christ is beautiful.
What is a sad inictment is your belief in this fictitious entity.
You feel so wise don't you?
Ironic that within a month or so of this talk, a certain progressive, gay "Christian pastor" went viral with this exact misinterpretation of these passages. Wish this talk was made available sooner!

Thanks, Priscilla and Aquilla for taking the steps to have these discussions on complementarianism, and thanks Gary and Fiona Miller for the biblical wisdom you shared.
