You can use a penske truck rated at 26,000 lbs ? I know they say 26,001 not sure if that 1 lb is make or break

Would this work for CA laws?
Mr. Gonzalez you would have to check with the state of California. Some states have variations;however, the majority of the Pre Trip should be the same.
Is your feet on the brake when doing the inspection or it’s unnecessary because you have parking break engaged ?

I'm in Wisconsin; therefore, I always recommend watching a video created by someone in your respective state. Some states have their own nuances that differ from other states.

Currently studying for my Class B CDL and I'm very nervous about the engine compartment segment. Your video was VERY helpful, especially since my truck is a 2021 Hino and the engine compartment on my truck looks nearly identical.
Hello Jose here, question if my brother gets his permit and I have my cdl could I rent a commercial truck from Penske and take it with my brother for his skills test?
Sorry for late response........ yes you can rent a Cdl truck and take your brother to his test. You just have to have to be licensed for that particular vehicle.

I have a truck that has a GVWR of under 26000 lbs. I went to the DMV and had the weight sticker changed to 40000 lbs. so I could pull a trailer behind it. Can I use this truck and trailer for my CDL test?

Not sure what state you're in, but here in Wisconsin that's what we need to do for CLASS B! You mentioned 80% of the test being left out......however I know for a fact you're WRONG!!! 😎

You're Wrong my friend, 😂😂😂 In the state of Wisconsin you do NOT have to discuss the Governor CUT IN AT 100 OR CUT OUT AT 125. We are only required to do the following. -Parking Breaks Test -Service Breaks Test/ 5 MPH TEST - 123 LAB TEST ( LEAKS, ALARM & BUTTONS) 123 LAB CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING......Turning off the engine with foot still on brake and listening for the sounds of leaks outside the cab and turning the ignition to Auxiliary position and with foot on break watch to make sure your not losing more than 3 pounds of pressure in 1 minute. Next pump Breaks until warning light or Alarm ⏰comes on at 60 or above and LASTLY.......PUMP the break pedal until the parking break pops out between 20-40 PSI! I've been doing this for 11 years and we've used the same examiner for 17 years......TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THE VIDEO IS CORRECT FOR THE STATE OF WISCONSIN!! LOL 😆🤣 Where are you located my friend??
(Metal) not bent dented cracked broken of missing and is fully secured. (BDCB) (Wires)not cut, frayed or spliced (CFS) and is securely fastened. (Rubber, seals or hoses) No abrasions bubbles or cuts (ABC)

He didnt say the word "frayed" on seatbelt. I specifically failed because of that one word being missing. he forgot visors as well.
Every examiner has their own style and preference..... if you failed SPECIFICALLY FOR NOT SAYING "Frayed"....... then you had the wrong examiner. You had to have had missed other items as well. Also, it's not required to say visors in Wisconsin. Wishing you the best in your retest.
@@anthonystaton Yup, she said I did fine on every other thing but failed me cause of the seat belt. Nothing wrong with video dudes style just trying to preach what I have learnt.

I am taking my class b skills test on Wednesday for NC. I will be taking a penseke truck can you tell me where the air compressor is.
Megan, the air compressor is on the driver side of the engine compartment and usually sits on top of the power steering pump.
Thank you! I went to take it 2 weeks ago and forgot to hold my break and count when I was doing my LAB test. Automatically failed. Even though. Your video got me through the outside and the interior pre inspection besides the LAB test. I just overlooked that part in the video.

Can you take the 22’ / 26’ air brake Penske truck that’s under 26,000lbs GVW to the DMV for the Class B CDL test?
Ivan you will NOT be able to get a Class B license in a truck that's under 26,000. The GVWR has to be over 26000 to qualify as a Class B.

Yes...... for brake hose and chamber you can say no leaks.
Yeah, say no audible leaks. Basically any part containing air, say I hear no audible leaks. Any part holding fluid, say no visible leaks.

Hard to say.....Every State may have some minor differences.....I would refer to a pre trip video that's geared towards Texas to be on the safe side.

Thank you for the video I’m studying and watching hoping to pass my inspection next week....When you start the air brake test and state “first switch to a low gear” is “low gear” putting the truck in neutral or drive or in 1 or 2?”

When you do the passenger side do you have to do suspension parts as wel? Or only driver side
Johnny You only have to do the DRIVER SIDE suspension since it's not considered to be unique to the passenger side only. Hope that helps! 😎
