Doc if you see this please answer! I have in suffering with hashimoto's symptoms for over 10 years. In the past 6 years I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and pots syndrome. I strongly believe these are severe symptoms of my hashimoto's. After all these years I still do not need medication however I was on short term disability for 6 months and have never been well the past 10 years. I work from home because of the chest pains and palpitations and dizziness and severe fatigue and pot symptoms, also weakness and severe hand pain. Do you think I will be a candidate for a thyroidectomy??

Dr. Roy you just did surgery on my thyroid about a week and half ago. I had an almost three pound goiter removed. I am more than pleased, with my results, and i feel like a new person. Everyone at the center was more than awesome. I cant believe the extent of my goiter, and surgery that i feel so great and healing fast and with no complaints. I have enlarge goiter and I have notice that I am having more difficulties when swallowing, example I shock easily, I need to chew my food very well to avoid shocking. I have not check my Thyroid levels for a while, I lost my insurance. I continue taking levothyroxine 100, about 14 years ago a doctor did a radioactive iodine. Dr said that I had hypothyroidism and hashimotos disease.not candidate for surgery to continue taking thyroid medicine for life. I had a nodule removed from my left lung 2017 and i remember anesthesiologist told me that I had a very closed neck that it would be difficult to insert the tube, I had surgery and I never had any pain or any difficulties on my neck or throat area.

I have a Thyroid Goiter upon hearing this measage I might be having the same problem with the Goiter moving downward. I have Annual followup in August 2024 I will address this concern. Thank you for the info.

In my ultrasound it said my thyroid was unremarkable but have nodular and need biopsy.

Hi i open a pirtal with you guys .so when go to see the doctor .to see if he is going to do a biopsy.my ultrasound said i had a nodular in the resultsof ultrasound the number was in the scale mildly suspicious

I was told I had a goiter along with nodules during a MRI in 2019, had biopsies which were fine. I'm now feeling tightness, and coughing more than before and feeling I should have surgery. Do all patients that have surgery gain weight and hormones are all over the place? if I have surgery at your facility, would you be prescribing my medications or will I need to find a doctor in my area? My tsh is 4.97. Should I be tested for goiter. It increased from 1.67 in 6 months. Waiting for a medical appointment for a 2nd opinion.

I went there for a second opinion after a thyroid scan on the east coast of Florida. The facility was clean, every person we interacted with was pleasant and professional. Met Dr. Roy. Their recommendation to change medications I followed and feel great . Highly recommend any travel to see the best Drs in the world. They treated everyone very kind. I am blessed to have been their patient . I'm a RN who works for a hospice company , this team of Drs are Lifesavers.

You need a referral to come to the center?

Mine is probably the same as that one! I'm hoping to have surgery soon to remove it. I wish i could have you do the surgery but I'm on Medicaid so i have to stay within my state. Hopefully I find a good surgeon!

I had thyroid cancer 15 years ago but they caught it very early and just removed my thyroid. I've been fine since the surgery.

What did that goiter measure?

My mom had the surgery then DIED of brain cancer which she developed after she started taking the thyroid meds i am still extremely ANGRY about losing my mum 😢 i trust NO ONE EVER EVER EVER EVER MEDS are chemicals the FDA is a joke MOST COUNTRIES will not take American medicine because of all the fillers that they put in the pills. I'd rather hear some information on natural foods home grown since the food sold in all American stores are sprayed

I did my research first and I did reach out to the Endocrine Hospital and Dr Roy is going to remove my left thyroid lobe for a huge nodule. Even if it turns out to be cancer, I am in the best thyroid surgeon’s hands and she will cure it with her expert surgical techniques. I truly am excited to have this surgery with her. What a blessing to have found the best of the best. I am a nurse who understands how complicated thyroid surgery is. I want someone who does this all the time not once in a blue moon. Looking forward to meeting her in July and having one surgery and done.

I'm having a total thyroid removal, substernal extension goiter, tomorrow, June 4, 2024. I'm very nervous but also excited to get this over with. I came very close to contacting you but I didn't. I trust my surgeon. I pray that I'm right in my decision.

Hi, Dr. Roy. I’m coming to you guys in a few weeks for a thyroidectomy. Dr. Clayman is my primary, but I was told via email you’d probably be on my team as well. I really hope that’s the case! I even called to be like “Yes, please!” I was originally supposed to have it done last year with a different surgeon more local to me, but I had such a bad experience setting it up, I just knew it was the wrong fit and postponed. I haven’t even met you guys yet and I already feel extremely comfortable and informed going in. All these videos really help. I really hope I get to meet you next month! Mine is 3.3 in trahea what about rfa because of myself being polio surviver /post polio im 73 have hard time swallowing from original polio and sensitive of anthrsia it could take a couple days to come out of it almost died c section anf leg surgery i dont do surgery my biopsy benign

I'm scheduled for a complete thyroid removal on June 4th. Substernal, right side goiter. The last couple months have been a living hell. Levothyroxine doesn't seem to be working. TSH is now in normal range but I feel horrible all the time. I'm scared to death of the surgery but I can't live like this. I pray that getting this thing out of my neck and chest will allow my meds to work.
