I'm in the dining room part of your video and you shouldn't change anything so far! I'm on Cape Cod Massachusetts and I do love NH. The ocean is beautiful there and the water... freezing lol. I think you did an excellent job with the house. Perfect New England. You are very blessed to get to buy a home over these past 4 years. ❤ P.S. I actually like the rust color tiles that you said are outdated. It makes me think of Italy. I think I would decorate that area to match the esthetic of the floor!

The phrase, “lucked out” means you were very unlucky. It has a negative connotation to whatever it’s referring to. If you were “lucky” in a choice or situation, then you were lucky, a positive, beneficial outcome. I’m assuming your choice was a positive one. Thanks for sharing the beautiful video. 😊

Great video, thank you. Question: You mention with a few of these colors using them lightened by 50%. Why not just pick a lighter existing color that matches that? I've had a few clients mention the "lightened by 50%" step and ended up with problems getting something exact, reliable, and repeatable. Some paint stores haven't known what that means or how to fulfill that request.

This is a great video. Thank you! I did dove wing for my primary color and love it a lot as a off-white. I’m struggling to finish picking the colors for the rest of the house, which is laundry room, and master bedroom. Did my other two bedrooms salt by Sherman Williams, and agreeable gray. I’m thinking of natural linen by Sherman Williams for the master bedroom and hoping pallet that mix as well but I really like the paper white suggestion you have for the bathrooms.

Thank you for telling people they don't have to follow the trends! I think too many times we get sucked into the idea that we have to or we won't have cute or acceptable decor, but that's simply not true! I think there are as many good style choices as there are people. Also, I'm loving how femininity is having a moment with decor. I think it's totally possible to have femininity in your decor style without it being overwhelming or "too girly" for the rest of your family to enjoy, too.

Great Video. Boho Rustic is my style. Cozy, worn, comfortable, welcoming with texture, plants, and the colors of the desert mixed in - burnt orange, deep plums, golden yellows, stone gray, creamy white, and indigo. And garden/botanical motifs and artwork sprinkled throughout.

Thank you so much for presenting this breakdown of styles. I think I love them all lol I tend to gravitate towards coastal because that's where I live and love. Then mix that with boho, cottage, traditional and modern. My home is a little beach house, so can't go too crazy with stuff. I'm always looking for ideas to improve what I already have. 🩷

Beautiful! I like the uppers on the bookshelves. Mixing books, photos and objet d'art to tell your family's story seem to be ready and waiting. As well when you shared photo I though a state facing and the I saw the flooring that has a honed finish int he "mud room" area I think that would look great but when you got to the bar area the marble could look great also a surround for fireplace. Anyway, you are so blessed with a wonderful home!

Raised fireplace hearth: 1. Visually if you are sitting on the sofa and looking over the coffee table/ottoman it wont cut off view of the flames. 2. It is easier when you are older and your back begins to give you pain, to put the wood into the fireplace. I am a fan of raised hearths! I agree that the shelves are a little askew. I think dividing each side in half rather than thirds will be more visually appealing.
