While in the military- I got a SEGA and this was my favorite game. Thanks for the upload!

There is a way to level up fast in this game. Walk west, cross the bridge continue to walk west until you come across the orange mountains. Then hug the mountain walls by walking up North and then walk past the lava mountain and still hug the walls until you enter the fire giant cave by accident. It's actually a hidden back door. So once you see the fire giant be sure to attack, quickly turn right wait then attack quickly turn left and keep repeating this. After you kill him just go outside and rest then repeat.

This game most definitely needs a remake. I love the music and the game play. As a kid back in the 90s there were certain parts of this game that would scare the shit outta me lol. The cave lady scared the hell outta me when her face popped up back in the day 😆

Has anyone ever actually killed the Aligator?

i found a really easy way to play this game. Make 4 fighters all high CON. Give them all slings then advance to bows. Rest when injured since there is no time limit it doesnt matter if you rest for days after each fight. I found it works lol.

Loved this game as a teen and one of the first games that I stayed up late and finished. Soundtrack was amazing and to my amazement I once heard the music on a techno-track at a club in late 90s 🤦‍♂️

What a monster of an NES game! It destroys most arcade style games even on the next generation of hardware. Those R-Type battleships in the background of the 6th boss are watching in awe. And I never even knew about this game until today.

I knew this existed I played it on a retro handheld game with built in games it was amazing

Any reason why my map is a bit different for the part “go to the ruins building” I cannot find that building with the gamma AG armor, is it something I need to finish the game?

Played this game for many, many hours in the 1990's. Back in the 2000's I found a save game editor for use with Gens save files and it added a bit of flair to an already awesome console game.

This game and part 1 NEED to be on Nintendo Online!

Legendary soundtrack. Bought this back in summer of 1992, thought it would be some kind of ultima game, and even was a bit disappointed that it was neither this nor a "real" Eye of the Beholder. Judging it from a perspective of wisdom now, it probably was the best DnD game for its time, even with the terrible sound effects in combat :D

Do you mean Wisdom and Intelligence aren't working correctly or you think they don't do anything at all? Because Wisdom is supposed to help with Cleric/Priest magic, while Intelligence is supposed to hep with Mage/Wizard magic. Charisma is harder to apply, especially if the game doesn't have changing dialogue based on how much an NPC "likes" a party member. If the Cleric has the Turn Undead ability, Charisma is supposed to boost its effectiveness. I love how the different races are their own class. Like every elf is the same kind of combatant.

Would always try to rent this game for 2 nights, 3 days before having to return it. And have to wait for another week before we go to the video store on Friday nights and start all over again. Was so excited after coming off of Forgotten Realms DOS-based games. This was such a hard game to comprehend at the age of 9, and 30 years later watching this, I'm still so confused.

Wow. The music and the singing are horrible. I guess they were too cheap to hire someone who could actually pronounce the English lyrics.

Really wish this had been popular enough to spawn some sequels. Can't say enough how awesome it is that this game is based on BECMI D&D. Easily the best version that ever was

I remember beating this game when I found the ring or The Medallion and I didn't have to fight the final boss and it was able to send this Castle back to its own time😅😂
