Today I'm eating my way through Jing Jai Farmers Market which is one of Chiang Mai's trendiest farmer's markets and personally, my favourite. Hi Elaine! The shops on the sides are open during the week, however the market portion of it is only open on the weekend! I suggest waiting for the weekend to go so you get the full experience :)

Hi In your opinion, do you think it's worth sleeping in Koh Phi Phi 1 night to be able to enjoy the beaches before people arrive with the tours?
There's actually an overnight experience where you can sleep on an open top boat in Maya bay that I highly recommend! you have the opportunity to enjoy the bay without the crowds and a chance to see glowing plankton!

Watching someone try buisiness class for the first time is one of my favourite things. Glad you had a great flight. Aeroplan is a gamechanger - I'm flying Etihad First for the first time this weekend and it was all on Aeroplan :)

Great video! Very informative and really appreciate the various locations you visited while on the island. I'm trying to schedule a trip out to Koh Lanta for a 6 night stay at Pimala Resort, solo travel. I guess I'm a bit concerned if the island has yet to recover from Covid. Is there enough of a night scene to enjoy a drink or two and come across other solo travelers? Thanks for any input. Looks like you had a blast! Any other Island recommendations?
Hi Ghosty! I think it's picked up a bit since I was last there. In general Koh Lanta is still a "relaxed' island and you definitely won't be finding beach parties like the other islands. The spots that were once busy were closed for the season when I was there- but I'm sure there are a few spots that have opened back up as it should be going into high season now!
@@itsjesslau Hi Jessica! Thanks for the reply. Flights from Vegas have made me consider a more robust trip. Looks like I'll be doing 2 nights in Bangkok, 3 nights in Koh Samui and 4 nights in Koh Lanta. I figure a bit of a night life as an introduction in Bangkok, followed by a lively but not chaotic vibe in Koh Samui and conclude with a Koh Lanta retreat to help relax and decompress before I get back to the mundane daily routine. Thanks for the video though! Very helpful!

Hi! How did you get to Koh Lanta? Did you take a ferry from Krabi? We’re hoping to do our PADI certification with the same company in Koh Lanta. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!!
Hi Jen! Amazing!! I took a ferry from Phuket but I would recommend going around Karabi and checking a few of the travel stands there to find a time that works for you. The price is usually around the same but I did find one for cheaper for the time I needed :) Each travel stand has agreements with different ferries! HAVE SO MUCH FUN doing your course!!
@@itsjesslau thank you so much for replying❤. Would you recommend staying an extra day in Koh Lanta after the course? Or did you feel like you got the feel of the island after the three day course? I can’t decide if we should stay longer or move on to Krabi/Phuket right after! Just curious what your thoughts are :)
@@jmoi You won't have much time to explore the island while the sun is out during the course so I'd allocate a half day or full day if you wanted to scooter around it! It takes only about 3 hours to scooter the WHOLE island. I only did the southern part of it before having to jump on my transfer boat! If you're able to get a later boat to Karabi/Phuket i think you'd have enough time to go around to parts of the island and the old part of town!
I think Pai is such a special place that should be added to anyone's Northern Thailand trip! I highly recommend pre-booking your mini bus tickets with Prempracha Transports, and take a motion sickness pill for. good measure! Let me know if you have any questions in the comment section :)

Well whenever times get tough the first things to go is unnecessary fat. It's a survival mechanism. That's not to say what you offered wasn't valuable, not by far just to be clear. Marketing and sales is very valuable, but sometimes an employer needs to 'cut the fat' in order to keep the lights on in the short term. As an engineer I've been there and done it many times. It's a little painful. But I tend to find I am better off as an engineer not staying with a struggling company anyway. Sure, hurts in the short term but in the long term you'll do just fine. Have a blessed day.
I totally understand! I don't think I was not valuable as they reached out when times got better to rehire, but I had already set my mind to continue my own business!
@@itsjesslau Well the company doesn't really matter. If you can sell you'll never starve. Even in the worst economies.. Some of the biggest companies got their start in the great depression. So, anything is possible even in this environment. Keep your head up and keep moving forward.
@@PearComputingDevices You're absolutely right. I truely believe selling is one of the most powerful business tool! I look at it as the universe kicking me into action and I'm so grateful it happened :)
