Make sure you respec for ruins greatsword, otherwise you can basically only farm the bird. To farm the albinaurics I found ruins greatsword most effective. A "run" nets you about 50k, you have plenty of time to do one run twice per min, therefore and behold.... 100k per min, 200k in 2min... 1mil runes in 10 min, make sure you have gold scarab equipped, do Varre quest if you want early access to this area.
Edit: Once you beat Elden Beast, get the Sacred Relic Sword and you can wipe the area with 2 specials (also with NG+ it basically doubles the runes)
