Around My House
Добавлен 13 июл 2014
I like to get the nicest things I can, for the least amount of money, and I want to have a little fun while doing it! Sometime those nice things are in need of repair or all out rehabilitation, which would be one reason why I can purchase them for so little. Every little penny I can save is put to task at doing what it is suppose to do. That is too “be fruitful and multiply” i.e. Make money babies for me!
On my channel you can share some of the experiences with me, and learn how to build, perform or just enjoy some of the things I have done.
Thanks for watching and enjoy!

My Space Saving Home Gym Set Up - A Quick View
Just a quick view of my Space Saving home gym setup. Soon I will be adding a Dip & Pull up station, and then I should be done. I invested a total of $330 on all the equipment you see, then I canceled my 10 year old gym membership at 24 Hour Fitness. A happy, no regret move and I have never looked back.

How To Hang A Heavy Boxing Punching Bag From The Ceiling Rafters

Just another way to hang a Heavy Punching Boxing Bag from the ceiling or rafters.
The cap on mine has broken while just sitting there in less than a year. If there a metal replacement for these?
I have two of the Midwest fuel cans made before the EPA screwed them up. They look identical to these, except for the Standard NATO, spout, cap and nozzle support. They have held up very well, and they definitely did not have the issue where the welded seam stuck up above the sidewalls. I have seen these newer ones at Harbor freight, and barring the bureaucrats spouts and slightly messier seam welds they certainly appear to be as well made, as they used to be
I've worked out on traditional heavy bags ruclips.net/user/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.
Thanks for showing the pipe leak and goes without saying leaky pipe a day keeps the wife away shopping minivans.
Mike Tyson and kids and his Terrier with garden...
$60 for a gas can is a bit much but if the opening were more like the military it would be worth it. I use electric fuel pumps but they will not fit through the openings of these cans.
All gas is unleaded, did you mean ethanol free?
I ordered replacement caps that don’t have a hole in them, a solid cap from Amazon for $5 for a set of two in case I lose or break one. They work great. I also hated the spout that came with this one. I bought a screw on spout that is much longer and better for $15. No leaks.
Thanks for sharing my man!
Awesome ideas. Here's one more, spray the bottom few inches of the can with flex seal or similar rhino liner type spray to keep paint from chipping when sat on the ground which inevitably leads to rust. The killer of all Jerry cans.
Did they have Flex seal in 2015? lol
Thx for tips. As for the leaking cap issues, I went with an EZ-Pour gray cap (part # B5) for a solid, no leak seal. They also offer a gray base cap if you like using a pour spout.
Nice job. I used a 2x6 spanning across 3 ceiling joist. Recommend a min of (2) 4”x1/8 lags per ceiling joist with washers on each lag bolt. I attached an i-bolt w/ lock nut and washer into the center of the 2x6 prior to installing the 2x6 into ceiling.. spreads the weight across 3 ceiling joists
They are $55 now.....If they are ever in stock.
They sell the exact same one a ACE and Tractor Supply. I just bought 8 between a few different stores.
You made a label that says UNLEADED ? Is there a possibility that you might mistake this can with the LEADED one? FFS make a label that has the OCTANE RATING or ETHANOL CONTENT... Maybe a mixture ratio for the 2 cycle users? 40:1, 50:1, 32:1...
I got this can over a decade ago when it was at half the today cost. Took it camping in my gas guzzler truck only to find out that its nozzle leaks like a drunken sailor. A junk and dangerous product I almost retire it in a desert. Your great idea make me want to give it another try.
Good solution. Well done and thanks for sharing!
chino crap
*I used this on my 2006 Troy Bilt Pony (MTD) tractor **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend it was an easy swap. It's very light aluminum and seems sturdy enough so far; I assume you really only need to replace the idle pulleys once so if these wear out anytime while I have the mower I'll update the reivew.*

I like these cans. I removed the flash screen so i can get my siphon in the cans. I prop the can on a ladder to get the siphon going. I ordee the ez flow yellow storage caps because I dont like the ring and puck design.
That is a VERY GOOD vibration isolation system. I will use your system to hang my bags (liquid bag and long heavy bag). Both bags weigh in excess of 100 lbs and will hang from the ceiling in my apartment. I don't want the thing to shake the ceiling and minimize the noise. Good work! Thank you.
Awesome! Thank you for sharing!
Pop the welds with a hammer before filling, remember where ur buying the can from
I weld for a long time a good weld is deep. Not just a surface weld.
Thanks for the video!
Does a NATO spout fit on these cans?
No
@@DAN_CLERGYMAN Thanks
@@brianjordan2192 no problem 👍
Silly plastic cap not a patch on the original lever locking cap that could not be mislaid
Ahh,. wow. You kneed ta rethink this.
Wavian is Sooooooo Much better!!
Who would’ve guessed that spending double would yield a better product?
Your adaptations to make it more secure and useful are absolutely Genius.
The low down on original jerry cans: ruclips.net/video/XwUkbGHFAhs/видео.html
Wow nice jerry can, but a new can leaking....? That doesn't sound safe to me.
Cool stuff, will check out the your 1st video!
The cap broke on both my jerry cans going up in elevation and low temperature. So carry spare if you guys are traveling fyi
I would guess the ez-pour spout would fit. I have also put a long hose on the white spout part that you pulled out. Haven't tried the Midwest steel can. It looks nice. I have a few Midwest plastic cans that I have put the snap-in vents in. Venting helps the flow a lot.
You're a smart cookie! I love your ideas! And HAHAHAHA...I first thought the "U" stood for...."UPGRADED." LOL
😂🤦♂️😋
Nice! Thanks for doing the leg work, can't wait to do these to mine.
The inside diameter of that spout is absurd. No wonder it pours so slowly! "I'm from the Gubment, and I'm here to help. Where's your gas can?"
Turn your crosbys around "never saddle a dead horse"
Since I see still recent Comments here, I might say that this can is a Valpro Can, indicated by the V on the side. It is a quality Product for sure, no Problem
Continually out of stock. Am told they are sold out as soon as they come in but I suspect they are being held to drive prices up.
Thanks for the lowdown on a good metal gas can and your excellent modifications. You know, the Government is renown for screwing things up; say it's not true! Gas cans are no exception. I have yet to hear ANYONE say a good thing about modern gas cans or their no-leak spouts. "No leak" means; guaranteed to get gas all over your lawn mower, snowblower, motorcycle,... and your shoes. Gas everywhere! WTF!? Thanks for your input to help the common man gas up his toys and equipment with a safe gas can that actually pours. You are going to heaven... Saint Peter at the Golden Gate can't get his pre-mix into his weed whacker.
Thanks I’m going to hang mines up next weekend!
Does it work
I ordered mine online and I didn't get the clip on the handle can someone tell me where to buy it 🤔
Wouldn't it be easier and faster to just unsnap the ring? 🙄
It would definitely be
I just purchased 3 of these. Model 5810 manufactured in Canada January 2021. It states on the plastic spout made in Canada. Todays date is 5-18-21. The sticker on the can does say made in Latvia. ☹
First, this is the best review of a Jerrican I've every seen. Second, at 5:00, HUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGE FOR ME. Full disclosure, I am a black man who has dealt with a lot racism in this country, but on that point I totally agree. I do business with a lot of people, some who like me, some who don't, but I am big on keeping all my dollars in the U.S.A. for the very reason you said, ensuring AMERICAN FAMILIES can put food on their table and take care of their families.....One of the biggest problems this country is facing is the loss of American jobs. We have allowed a few rich (and often white) cats at the top of the food chain to get rich offshoring American jobs to countries with cheap labor. They have exploited poor whites and poor blacks & pitted us against each other when working class people of all races have a lot in common. I love the way you put that so simply and eloquently. We are not a perfect nation and like all families, we have our problems, we fight and fuss, but I demand all our countrymen put country over politics. Put simply, I am America first. Dammit.
They are now $45.00 .....bucks
#bignuts
$45 now not worth it
