My second day in Oslo. Today sees me walking along the bay and visiting the Maritime and Polar Exploration museums. Day 1 was spent resting and having a walk around the city. After a night at the campsite in Finnland I journey south the southern lake system and spend some time in the Fløyta area. I am back in northern Østmarka after spending some time catching up on some much needed sleep in an actual bed for a change. There's not so much trekking now, but finally more packrafting. After an ok-ish nights sleep my journey today sees me slowly making my way to the northern end of Lake Børtervanna. I continue to explore Østmarka National Park and enjoy being in the woodland biome. After my first night in Østmarka in the hammock I continued my trek down to Tonevannet. Some of this route had me following the Flyktningeruta (Refugee Trail from the WW2). Finally on some more turbulent white water with the Packraft. After hiking this gorge in 2022 and 2023 I knew I had to get a packraft out here. Well it happened. Packrafting regional canoe route 90. The Reuss. Today's adventure sees me continuing my journey along the Reuss from Mellingen and reaching the end at Gebensdorf. After an unexpected incident this section of the river is very calm and some great scenery in the gorge is really one for the books.
