Hi to both of you! I also really appreciate the post, it seems there’s very little about FHOs online. I just found out my Maine coon has hip dysplasia and he’s going to either need a FHO in both legs or possibly hip replacement :( did your cat end up having better mobility after recovery? does it seem like she’s no longer in pain? I read that pain reduction is somewhat unpredictable with an FHO, which was alarming since that’s the whole point of the procedure for us. Did your cat have hip dysplasia or a fracture or something else?

Also-this is a bit weird, but did you happen to get your cat from Mainesuspect Los Angeles?? My boy is insanely similar in color to the cat in the video.

@@noodle8994 hello. The cat from the vídeo is still recovering. FHO has a slow recovery. Mine got the surgery because of SCFE not hip dysplasia, She got the right leg done and se are monitoring the other One, because there's a chance it can happen to the other leg too. It has been now 9 weeks, and it was better, but then She got a little worse, now She is definitly improving. She hás no signs of pain and the mobility is fine (She was jumping by 3/4 weeks, but suddenly stopped jumping. We went to the Vet and it is normal Ups and downs on the recovery. Now She is improving again, the mobility is great aside from jumping and the most importante is the pain is conpletely gone. This female is from a European breeder with European lines. Hope this helps.
