@@ZeroThe14th You know all about this, but figuring out Jason's flight patterns are the key to a good speedrun. But I always get the torch the hard way which brings my numbers down. I'll try your way next time I try.

@@CGMedia2023 Yep! It took me weeks to figure out a good pattern for path fights on all 3 days. Cabin fights are easy, but they take so long. Good luck!

The Immortal Glitch revives Jason with an extra 256 bars of health, and we do it on each day. Instead of having 96 total, he has 864. It's basically trying to do an endurance run fast 😂

When I get the chance, yeah. My desktop blue screened on me again last time I tried after being fine for a month, so I’m waiting on a new network card to arrive since the crash dumps say that’s the culprit. Apparently it only does that when I’m streaming 😔

Yep! A Perfect Game means no counselors (active or inactive) take damage, and no kids die. Counselors will start taking damage when there are 40 seconds left on the timer when they're being attacked, and Jason will start taking care of the kids at 30 seconds left.

I’ve played a lot of games that were or maybe still are misunderstood. Gonna check this one out for sure.

@@jacobrajala8361 That would be something else! It would probably be 7-8 hours, if not more, but the big thing about an Immortal one would be actually getting Jason Immortal. You can only do that on paths, and without jumping you’d need to be able to out mash Jason’s damage with rocks before that counselor died, with 35-40 hits. I can reliably get 30 on mashing, but more than that becomes a stretch 🤣

@@Xarc_ Sure thing! Friday the 13th is very different than most NES games, and one of the earlier survival horror games. It was generally considered a horrible game because of how complicated it was, and how little they explained. You’re just kind of tossed into this open world camp and the goal is to survive and project the children by beating Jason on all 3 days, when he gets progressively stronger (aka faster). There are items, weapons, and other useful things hidden around camp, but you need to jump to collect them, so not jumping means it’s just you and the starting weapon against Jason, with nothing to tip the scales in your favor. You can fight Jason on paths outside or inside cabins, and he’ll also appear on the lake as you’re rowing to the children if you don’t block him from showing up. There are a bunch of underlying mechanics in the game like that. Once you figure out how the game works, it’s one of the best the NES has to offer!

No apologies needed, real life always comes first! This seed was amazing! Someone with real Super Metroid skill probably could have finished it in like 45 minutes! Never seen one where I didn't even see half of the areas 🤣

Thank you! I normally try to play Friday the 13th on Wednesday nights, starting around 8pm Central time assuming the kids go to bed early enough. I want to know every little detail about how the game works. Someday!

That's Resident Evil 3 if I recall correctly, you see him get butchered by Nemesis in that one. Great scene!

@@ZeroThe14th I looked it up. If you start a new game in normal mode and do not collect any weapons or ammo. When you get to the area before the police station go down those stairs and you’ll fight zombie Brad. It’ll take 20 shots from your gun to beat him. Once you do you’ll get a key to unlock a locker in the photograph room to get new costumes for either Leon or Claire

The only way I know of to force the Axe spawn involves following the Quicktorch note and having a key and knife, but I should probably do a little more testing just in case!

The closest I can think of is in the Remake where Jason was keeping… I think her name was Whitney, but I also don’t think those were actual caves. Very odd to have caves with death pits that aren’t blocked off at a camp with children!
