I Made Blur 2 Because Activision Wouldn't
Fake Blur 2 in Unreal Engine.
Honestly, just go play the original blur. It's a classic.
Had to record the final demo in 720p (50 fps but 30-something fps while recording) cause my PC just can't handle it
Also subscribe cos I need money (I'm not joking)

Apparently from what ive heard, the developer build had something new, where you could ride on walls and on the ceiling. So sad it hadnt gotten released
I think that can be the true sucessor for Blur if you make this project seriously, using the scrapped Blur 2 elements, creating a more original design for the power-ups, cars and improving the speed sense.

tbh the ai is quite amazing. I quite like it.. so the point gets closer to the edge when the tangents normal dot product is either positive or negative yeah? And then it steers towards that point instead. Neat idea.
I'd sell my left lung and my right nut to be able to play Blur 2. Please don't stop with this. Just use Blur as a blueprint for a new game, change the power symbols, maybe add some new powers too, and get someone to do the sound. This looks friggin brilliant and amazing. There has never really been any game like Blur before or after, it was a one-of-a-kind game that was super fun to play. I remember my friends and I played it back in 2020 again during lockdowns.
Actually existed, Rumble Racing was released years before Blur.
Never played Blur before but heard it was so interesting. This demo is so cool too!
You need to play it on PC, was one of the best arcade games of the PS3/Xbox 360 generation.

WTF in a cheap showelvare browser game is the car sound? It sounds like crap, and it has absolutely no echo! And why are cars so slow? And the roads are too thin and twisty, that doesn't fit Blur!

Phenomenal work dude. As others have said, figure out how to give a better sense of speed, and I could see this becoming a really fun game. For a prototype, this looks incredibly promising.

using assets and making an asset flip are very different and I'm pretty sure you don't know the difference

bro took some assets and glued it together with a bunch of code. With that logic, you'd be able to call every game an asset flip
Don't talk bullshit by thinking developing a videogame from 0% as a easy job. This video was just a test, not the final product.
My man , you need to work on the "sense of speed", the cars looks slow you do some camera work to improve it

Activision don't care about Blur, they cancelled the second game after the first one being a commercial failure. Modern Activision its a greedy company, they never would give attention to a game which made them lose money 14 years ago.

It's great, but add more sound to the vehicle, it sounds like it's hovering
the engine sound simulation sounds quite standard. Its the engine rpm simulation thats bad. He's accelerating from 70 to 200 in a few seconds. The engine should be screaming, shifting only at or near the rpm limit. But it's at idle pretty much all the time. This honestly sounds like a CVT in super eco mode, basically keeping it idle at all times.

Amazing, except if I delete or add any clothing all the hidden faces come back and I have to repeat. However I was able to do what I wanted, which was export the skeleton and just one piece of clothes.
