Can anyone explain to me what he said from 14:20-14:55？It seems to stay in one cask would have better result than finished in another one ? Why was that ? Thank you for explanation. I am a Taiwanese in love with whisky.

2:25 the Murrays owned the lands? I believe Creiff was within the Drummond family. Kindly correct me as may be an aftermath of Colloden?
The Murrays definitely owned the land it was on Ochtertyre Estate. Don’t have any knowledge of the present incumbents but Willie Murray, sadly committed suicide, that was back in the late 1970’s. He was friendly with Bing Crosby, Willie ran a theatre at Ochtertyre House & it was a dance venue in the early 1970’s. I did meet him a few times, he was fond of a drink, rather ironic, and so was Bing Crosby. When we were kids in the early 1960’s there were some very cold Winters, we used to go ice skating on the small lochs below Ochtertyre House. There also used to be a Private Girls School in the grounds. Drummond Estates, are west from Crieff and run westwards up Glen Artney, over around 33,000 acres. I did meet the Earl of Ancaster, many many moons ago and an old friend of mine lived on the Estate, his Dad was a Gardener or Forestry worker.

Great video! Question: If Glenfarclas 105 is Cask Strength, how 8s it consistently 105 proof? Aren't there variations from cask to cask?
Thanks very much, it was a very enjoyable one to make, naturally! Your question really hits an intricate technicality, and I do not know what the exact answer is. Glenfarclas 105 is a very popular expression, and I imagine that casks of single malt are vatted together so that the whisky in the bottle is consistent across releases. How they also work it out to consistently hit 60%abv or 105 proof... that's a question for Glenfarclas!
I've heard they simply vat casks together until they end up at 60%. Abv too too low? Add another sherry butt at 62% to raise the abv of the vatting. For large batches like the 105 that seems doable to me...

I’d like a fact finding trip to a grain distillery with a Coffey type still, or somewhere like Loch Lomond who have different styles of pot still. Cheers for an interesting vlog.
Thanks very much, Ben. Loch Lomond would be a great visit, and they do have the whole package. Pot stills, and even a moderately sized Coffey still that they make their frankly delicious single grain whisky on. We almost got to them, and then lockdown changed everyone's plans - might have to tug on that thread again!

Not to worry - Sam's studies of the were-dere have concluded that it is primarily herbivorous, though it may also subsist on whisky.
