I think this might become my favourite podcast. As someone interested in Data Science, I really love what you guys are doing. I love the show. But I have to disagree with the tutorials part. I'm making a living because I had used University of RUclips to venture into web development and web design. The pattern starts at finding the definitions, principles and techniques used to reach the solutions. Wish I could buy a Savannah for that Indian guy I never met 😂

I'm a self taught data analyst/scientist, but unlike many, I don't possess any degree. I've heard people tell me to not be discouraged but I do see this is not the right time. Hopefully i will go back to varsity

I also enjoy Java a lot, now I want to start on springboot after my Java project. But as for frontend I'd like to take bootstrap coz I struggle a lot with CSS 😂, hence I have no plans of going full on as a frontend but instead fullstack and by God's grace finally do backend 😅. I love backend but who knows maybe I'd find new interests along the way but for now, backend dev coz I love web servers and computer networking
The moment he said "As much as I'm a maths person, I don't like maths" I was like finally someone like me😂😂. I loved pure maths in high school but when I got to Uni I hated, hence I transitioned into applied Mathematics coz it's more clear as to where one can use it rather than pure maths
I think most of us relate😂😂. High school math and varsity math are way different.

Musa's story is pretty similar like mine lol. I went all the tech walks of life started with pentium 2s, now we at the CORES🤓. I have even established an NGO with the objectives of teaching Coding and Robotics. Currently embarking on getting a degree in education so I can teach C&R in our Public schools.
It’s beautiful that you are teaching Coding and Robotics. Best of luck in your journey into education. We love people that make the tech world better 😊

I hoped you'd ask him if he believes industry related certifications help on his role... i.e. java OCA or java OCP or only experience is sufficient
They do help, but you’ll probably work a lot with simple stuff… you’ll probably find Java 8 code all over… it will boost your CV to standout… I don’t have it yet and I’m considering to get it as I feel like I still don’t know Java even though my experience is accumulating
