thank you for the video. I just started today. is it okay to bend the knees a little bit when the bell does down? do you have a beginners how video?
Happy to hear you are learning the kb swing. In a hinge, the knees are allowed to bend but the shins are to stay relatively vertical- keeping the hips higher than the knees. Hinge vs. Squat. know what else works wonders for the body? swinging a 12 pound splitting maul for 15 years straight every winter instead of a hydraulic piston woodsplitter.....
And upon review...it's not backwards! When we set up and started recording our playback on the computer was reverse. After checking back everything is right side forward! Sorry to add confusion- enjoy those get-ups and swings.

transitioning from the classic plank to the downdog/A-frame shape may be a nice progression to start. From there, remove the leg as a base of support, and flow between the plank and 3-point down dog. 🤸♀🤸♂🤸

Anyone see weight of the bell?
I am using a 24kg bell. You can definitely hear how much work it is by the end of the session! 😅 Simple not easy.

Internet 😠! At the 20 minute mark our internet cut out and though we continued to film it was unfortunately not streamed. What you missed- one more round of kick up entry, single leg squats while holding the leg out front and side, and two rounds of our step in entry followed by a set of sumo squats. Ending the half hour with 1 min of fun- trying to crawl or handstand for one full minute to improve strength and endurance. For the record, Lauryn had a great 40sec handstand 😜! See you next week.
