Growing up in Brooklyn, NY.....in the 60's 70's & 80's was a time before all the high tech entertainment we have now. We had to manufacture our own good times and did it without ever leaving Brooklyn...Created by Lou Rizzo & Dedicated to my Cousin Susan Pugliese, who taught me more about life through example than any book, school or teacher could ever have.

I grew up on 84th street between Bay Parkway and 23rd Avenue. This video helps. Thank you for posting. We had something incredibly special that lives now mostly in the recesses of my memory. Love this. Anyone have pictures of George Richland clothing store, Meat Supreme on 86th street or Chef Wong?
I have lived all over these united states (New Jersey, Nevada, California, Florida, and now Kentucky). Grew up in Gravesend in Bensonhurst. The absolute best is Brooklyn in 60's, 70's, and 80's. Not close. Subways, buses got you everywhere you needed to be. Values, love, fun everywhere. No internet. No iPhone. The food places in this great video are/were the best. Who remembers the "kitchen sink" at Jahn's. I believe it was in the video. Wow!!!

I miss the block parties, the mini carnivals, the 50 cent street rides, Coney Island, Nelly Bly, Caesar’s Bay Bazaar, Lerners, Fabco, 13th ave going with aunt for fabric, PS94, corner candy store on 49th and 7th. Oh man! Nostalgia
My parents and other family members got married at St. Michael’s in Sunset Park. I went to St. Agatha’s.
All my favorite places in Brooklyn!! 😢❤ I remember them like it was yesterday. Fort Hamilton, 86th street, Woolworths, Kings Plaza, metal roller skates, Fortway theatre, etc.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, lived there until 1969. Lived across the street from St. Michael's catholic church. Seeing so many memorable places and cartoons I grew up with. Getting a glimpse of it all again, after more than 50 years ... Wonderful!

I lived in the pink building where Saturday night Fever was filmed. The last stop 96 st. Brooklyn. I miss the hell out of what it used to be!

This 0:27 was around the corner from my grandparents house. When they twinned the theatre - they showed X rated movies on one side ! I think the neighbors were upset . This neighborhood looks AWFUL now. Just horrible. Hy Tulip deli was across the street.

Didn't see Prospect Park or Ebbits Field. Know the Dodgers were gone in the 60's but it was a big part of Brooklyn.
I love Brooklyn. Not that Brooklyn that exists today but the Brookly of my memories. 1970's and 80's on Schenectady Ave. The time of my life.
Whoever made this montage is out of their depth. Random shots of toys and cheap modern Chinese takeout places? A cast photo from The Godfather, which took place in Manhattan? Complete garbage. And the music is terrible. Yuck.
