I agree with you man. Haven’t heard someone who was upset with Yasuke being a main character in the game followup with a reasonable explanation as to why they are so upset. The game might not be great, but seems like a group of people are upset with Yasuke being a samurai in the game and that is dangerous or racist in some way. I think doing somthing different rather making yet another fantastical, magical, romantisized version of Japan in this era with the token perfect samurai as the hero is an alright things. Nothing wrong with those stories and games, but i like something different every now and then myself. Maybe Yasuke will jazz up the story abit.

People can't understand the difference because of the way people criticize things. I'll use myself as an example, I'm a fan of pro wrestling however the way I critique certain things I don't like I does sound like I'm hating which people point out by saying it's not the wrestlers fault it's the company for booking them a certain way, which is true and I understand that, however the part that makes me sound like a hater is when I point out a wrestlers flaws and double down by stating how they are booked is why people shouldn't like them, and I point that out all the time whenever I see someone else who agrees with my opinion that someone isn't that good do to how they are booked. Everyone else focuses more on the booking than the wrestler which makes them critics, I focus on the wrestler and use the booking as an example which makes me a hater.
