While Roy is technically the main protagonist as he’s the “hero”, has an actual backstory and is more important to the plot, I feel like Alexandria is supposed to be the main character. I mean, she serves as the central character for the majority of the film, has more screen time, and-let’s be honest-the movie is told largely from her viewpoint (both reality and (especially) fantasy segments).

Where did you find the more you care the more you have to lose scene?

Well, yes part of it was that the girl broke his heart. She left him for another actor. 'The money' Issue was (this is just my opinion) that Roy was just a stunt double but the other guy, (the one that made Alexandria the mask, that beat the shiz out of the bandit in the story, the pool scene) was a star and thus made more money than Roy. added with the fact that he is now paralyzed made for a very depressed guy.

The money was because he worked as a stunt-double, so you'd get a lot of money and if he died, well I guess he'd wonder where it went. I don't remember the specific scene you've mentioned but I assume this is the reason why.

This is very late, but I only watched the movie like 2 days ago. I believe that Roy had a pregnant wife who died still pregnant. When he's fading out of consciousness having taken too many drugs he states that Alexandria is his 'daughter from a previous marriage'. Roy then tried to move on and started dating a co-star who I think reminded him of his dead wife, hence he fell in love with her quickly. This is why everyone thought he was weak when she dumped him after a short time dating.

the relationship they had before they got together was cute and when they got together was cute too :D connor and abby in seasons 1,2 and 3 were really playful and then it got serious. connor was more adorable then :D

I must have missed the point, but why exactly, was Roy suicidal? Did he fall in love with the actress and she didn't want him? And what was all the talk about "what will happen to the money if I die?" as Roy says in one part. What money? Could someone please explain, thanks. : )
