As you could expect from a first boss, there's not plenty of patterns to deal with. But the fight is still quite fun with a lot of positioning restrictions to ensure good dps.
This is especially true with Twin Daggers since you have a really short range to deal with, height managment to hit where you want, and a lot of anticipation to land the last Circling Buzzard strike as much as possible.
However this quest is painfull to speedrun due to RNG mechanics.

Yeah I know that's Depth 201, I forgot to record Depth 200 and didn't want to waste a daily clear but there's no difference between those Depths^^.     Wow, what a pain in the ass in order to blow up a campship from the inside. I think getting 12 AIS to blow up the flag ship and others is way better. Not only do you have to stealth your way through lasers you have to cross your fingers and hope they don’t send the entire army after you.

      Hi, I’m basically spamming the front step input. But you need to do it at the right timing, if you’re too fast you’ll perform a slidestep and cross through the boss. The key point is also positioning at the beginning, you need to enter in the geyser as aligned as possible or your character will move a lot with counters and eventually gets ejected or hit the throne which reduces damage by 90%.

      If you're talking about the moment where I perform multiple Front Step Counter, you basically need to input front steps in quick succession. But the timing need to be strict, if you're spamming too fast you'll end up doing a Stepslide and too slow will make you get hit.

      One thing that I realize after trying this trick is you don't have to press forward to be able to spam the counter. All you need is to be locked on and just press the dodge button. Your character is dodging forward as default so as long you don't press the backward button you will get the forward counter. Actually for me it is much harder to keep pressing W + dodge button as sometimes it's make my character move forward instead and the counter didn't happen.

    I’m sorry for commenting on a older video but I was curious, Luster dodge damage is the strongest compared to WA dodge, but I’m having minor difficulty with the camera when I use the dodge against boss like Sodam for example whenever I dodge my character would drop to the ground or the camera just go out of control, is their a fix to this situation? I like Luster a lot but not perfecting one of its most crucial damage action is really lackluster for me and my team when I attempt HTPD.

      Hey, don’t worry this is a guide it’s here for answering :) The front step dodge is indeed your strongest move and you want to use it as much as possible. Since it is a step you’ll lose height but once the counter animation happens you stop losing altitude. So the key to avoid dropping is to time you counter (=front step) as tight as possible with enemy attacks. By doing so you will also avoid advancing to much toward the boss with your step. If you drop to the ground, it’s probably that you missed the counter or your camera was not locked on the boss (Step Guard only works if the lock is enabled). There’s nothing you can really do about crazy camera aside keeping a good positioning at all times :/.

      Wandeez PSO I see I heard that people usually Scatterslug before countering to either cancel dodge animation or reposition themselves I tried this method with both hallow point and scatterslug but it seems to be just extra damage along with counter?

      @@vsupport4666 yeah actually you’re doing that to optimize dps. I’m talking about it in the last section of this video. Basically the goal is to cancel the animation of « one strike PAs » with your step counter so you still get full PA damage but reduce the animation. It works with flechette, Scatter and Hollow (all stay version). I personally use Scatter a lot to do that since it also make you fall back a little so you never end up too close to the target with successive counters.

    Hello quick questions ~ would a 3 star twin dagger with a lvl.3 attack fixa on it be better than a 4 star twin dagger with non at all ? And any recommendations on units for TD I’m new to ngs :)

      Hey :) I think 4* is always better than 3* because of higher base attack and less damage variance. About units it depends on what you prefer. Geant units if you’re looking for damage, Vialto units give a lot of hp and cattleya units is a mix between Hp and pp. Personally I would pick geant because I’m always maxing offensive stats for speedruns but if yourte new to the game and struggle with dodge/counters maybe other units are a better choice to start. If you can try to get fixed augment that reduce PP cost/augment PP recovery on your units, Twin Daggers consume a lot of ressources.

      @@cLbleu You're welcome ;) I think many people are doing "class guides" now but for me that's not very relevant atm because the game is at launch and there's not much to explain about classes with only 20 lvl and 3 PAs per weapon. I can describe "How to play TD" with a few written lines^^. Unlike base PSO2 there's no traps to avoid, and skills are fairly easy to comprehend. So just reading your skills should be enough to understand what it does and if you're unsure about something don't hesitate to ask people (or me^^).       You will get more PP by leveling up. I think you get 2 pp per lvl from 90 to 100, before I can’t remember. Also Phantom has a skill in its skill tree that increase max PP by 20 I think. But most of it should come from gear. In this video I had +20pp per units, and about 10 on the weapon. With end game top gear you can easily reach 300pp.

      ​@@phumrapeewichetthapong2955 Affixing is way more complicated than NGS. You can use SAF that's easy to use and some weapons give good augments. You can buy weapons to the market with a specific SAF. Here is the SAF list : pso2.arks-visiphone.com/wiki/Ability_Factors_(Weapons)_(PSO2) But be careful, to transfert an SAF you need as much or more slots than your main weapon, and you also have to put the SAF affix on the weapon first to be able to transfer. 13* Units do have SAF but you can't trade them so you won't find any at the market. And SAF on units are not very good : pso2.arks-visiphone.com/wiki/Ability_Factors_(Units)_(PSO2) But if you really want to get into affixing try to find tutorials because there's a lot to cover and you can ruin your affix/money with a single mistake. Croesus is an ok weapon serie for leveling, you shouldn't have any problem with that in term of damage. But you can get a better weapon from titles if you manage to beat the last challenge mode quest "Violent Tremor" (Fluxio Weapon serie). You can do it solo if you're skilled enough because I think you'll struggle a little to find groups running it atm. Damage is more reliant on your rotation and skill tree.

      Thanks :) This is the animation of "Dagger Spin Counter". It happens by doing a Normal Attack just after a successfull WA parry. If it doesn't work maybe you're missing the corresponding point in your skilltree. Otherwise I don't know^^.

      It's when you cancel a PA by using a stepslide (Double tap Stepdodge with lock enabled). If you use it with a short PA like Hollow Point, you will get full hollow point damage for a shorter duration + stepslide damage = great dps. So basically, just do Stay Hollow Point and then Forward Stepslide asap. Just ensure Hollow's projectile gets fired.

      You can bind the Weapon Action to an input of your choice in the options. So you won’t need to sacrifice a weapon palette slot anymore.

      Hey, this is how my skilltree looks like : bit.ly/2UqiRdH If you're not using Double Saber at all you can remove points dedicated to this weapon and put it into Defeat Advantage. Or if you want to play Knuckles too you can take points from Defeat Advantage. Twin Daggers is a weapon designed to fight in the air, so don't hesitate to go for hight weak points. The Weapon Action Dagger Spin is your main defensive tool. It let you parry attacks without loosing height, come super fast and allow a powerfull counter after a successfull parry. So most of the times you won't need to rely on step dodge to avoid attacks. About Photon Arts, keep in mind that like every fighter weapons, Twin Daggers PAs are divided in two parts with the skill "Fighter Skip Arts". Your main damage source comes from Circling Buzzard that you will spam a lot. The first part of this PA is good to adjust your position but if the target don't move only go for the second part since the final hit is really strong (so land it as much as possible). Helzeus Coat is a good PA for mobility, the first part let you gap close in a straight line and the second make you retreat with frontal guard frames. But I personnaly don't use the second part a lot because as a short melee class you usually have no reason to fall back, and Weapon Action is the only thing I use for defense. But it can be used to quickly hit a target at medium range. Pirouette Ripper is more of a defensive tool. It gives you full Iframes during the animation of both parts (but not between them). I only use the second part but rarely in new situations where I'm unsure about Dagger Spin parry timing, or if I want to use "Acceleration Drive" from nothing. But I'm still wondering if spamming the second part could be efficient as a damage source. Can't tell before we get acurate frame data, but even if damage happens to be good, it will melts PPs. With this you can add Wired lance as a multi weapon to use the Weapon Action that is a good gap closer (vertical tracking+recover PPs). Also use your 3rd and 4th normal attack after chaining two Photons Arts with "Arts Skip Attack" skills if you need to sustain PPs. And that's basically how you play Twin Daggers ^^.

      @@CallMeAnxii I think Knuckles and Twin Daggers are really close in term of damage, maybe a little more damage on Knuckles but depend on the situation because TD shines in aerial fights (and it’s probably the best weapon existing for that). Double Saber is broken at the moment and surpass other weapons by a lot. But it’s mainly because Julien Dance is bugged (I don’t think it’s fixed yet). However, even with a nerf I think it will probably remain at the top, just closer to other fighter’s weapons. Balancing classes/weapons has never been a thing in base PSO2. The game isn’t competitive so just pick the gameplay you enjoy, everything is viable ;). PS : meta will change a lot with updates, new skills and classes. So even a « weak » class now can become « OP » in the future.

    This was beautiful, by the way what's you're recommendation on 4 star daggers to use? I've seen a mix between Resurgir and Forsis.

      Thanks :) About Daggers I prefer the Foursis serie over Resurgir. Resurgir is a little better when the potential is up, but you need to step dodge to proc it. Twin Daggers is an aerial weapon so in many fights stepping means to fall on the ground and it's annoying. Also if the potential is down because you don't have anything to dodge Resurgir isn't very good. That's why I'm using Foursis Daggers. But against Bujin resurgir would have been better since the fight is close to the ground and there's many opportunities to step dodge. Could have been a few second faster with this. So I would recommend Foursis, especially if you want to get used to the "true gameplay" of Twin Daggers where in most cases there's no reason to step dodge an attack, always prioritize Weapon Action.

      I like fighting Bigg Froggas with Resurgir Daggers. The 4 stomps they do on the ground pretty much just mean 4 sidestep attacks for nearly 1k damage each, every time. Assuming I don't bad and mistime them.

      Yeah that's my favourite pattern, it feels really good to perform ^^. The timing to parry is really strict especially with Twin daggers since the Weapon Action+Counter is among the shortest I-frames in the game, so if you're a tiny bit too early or late it's dead unlike most weapons. I would say you have two ways to get the timing on the first hit. The first one is obviously by getting used to the attack, so at some point the muscle memory will remember when you need to parry the first hit. That's what I'm doing here, it's more of a feeling strat that require practice but when I'm focused I would say it works about 80% of the times. The second way is more reliable, but you need to prepare it. The idea is to use an attack at a specific moment to mesure the time. For instance, this is what I'm doing at 00:25 to get the counter on the multi slash after he finished the triple dash. You can see after the third dash, I imediately gap close with a counter, and then I know that I can do one full Circling Buzzard and 3-4 slash of a second one before I parry. By doing so, I almost never miss the counter here. This principle can be used everywhere for instance you could do something like that when you see the red field appearing and count how many PAs/hits you can do before the first parry is needed.

      Indeed I’m mostly using the second part of Circling Buzzard since that’s the PA to go for dps and WA to counter. But you can also se me doing Helzeus Coat to gap close a few times. I never really use the third PA Pirouette Ripper since it’s mainly defensive (I frames during the animation). Twin Daggers is more about attacking relentlessly and doing counters. So you need to work on positioning to ensure Buzzard hits as much as possible (especially try to land the final hit that has big damage).

      @@dlvarcade9729 I’m indeed using a multi weapon Twin Daggers + Wired Lances. It’s great because TD lacks aoe. But also for the Wired lances weapon action that give you another way to gap close with vertical tracking while recovering PPs and even guard frames if you’ve Hunter sub. I’m switching between Gunner and Hunter sub depending on if I need to use Wired Lance PAs or not. (You can use weapon action and normal attacks on wired lance even without hunter sub).

      Pour le coup le gameplay est très similaire à PSO2 classic, juste il manque beaucoup de PA malheureusement^^. Après les Twin Daggers se révèlent surtout en combat aérien. Perso je joue ça car les autres classes/armes sont trop lentes a mon gouts avec les standard que j'ai de avant NGS. Les Twin Daggers étant l'arme avec les cancels les plus rapides (presque pareil que classic).

      Hey, To perform a front step counter you just need to do a front step through an attack. It will trigger the counter automatically, but ensure you got the corresponding skill unlocked in your skill tree (step guard I think).

    What weapon did you use? Klauz weapon potential made us have to do 3 normal attack that it fucks with the combo. I don't know which weapon series to use.

      At the time I was using Rivelate gunblade because cras/Klauz weapons were not available yet on global. But Klauz is far better, just do 3 normal attack quickly to proc the potential and then go back to your combos. You can also use an Enhanced normal and 2 normal since it’s considered as a normal attack too.

      I don't know^^, I was farming for the S6 ranged atk up by doing that. Been farming for about a week so maybe about 40-50 run in total before I gave up on the S6 lol.

      @@adriendafonseca3705 This quest actually scale on the number of players^^. From what I remember Monsters only have 50% hp if you’re alone, 75% for 2 people, 90% for 3 and 100% with 4 party members.

    Just a bit curious. Does having klauz units really boost damages by a lot? I currently have rivalate sets with 280 to 300 r.atk each. I really want klauz units but its so hard to farm with people not doing divide anymore and buying modules would cost a lot. As for weapons i got klauz with 120 atk and phrase decay but i can only clear depth 12 in 5.42.

      Klauz units won’t bring you that much damage compared to rivelate with good affixes since 3 klauz only gives 35 more attack than rivelate. Atlas units give more attack than klauz (except for the back), but klauz also gives good amount of hp/pp/def. On Luster I’m using Atlas legs for instance. If you already have rivelate units with good affixes and S ability getting klauz isn’t really needed unless you aim for speedrun. But if you got the motivation and messetas to make god affix then klauz is probably what you want. Now you can loot klauz units easily on the last urgent quest with Sodam 4 players. I almost get one on every run I do.

    Nice run. There's a lot to dissect here for new lusters willing to learn (like me). I'm curious, do you stay scatter reactively before fwrd stepping? Because sometimes you do it before the first slash and sometimes you don't. I just can't seem to react fast enough to the first slash to sneak in a stay scatter before forward stepping. I'm not hurting for dps or anything, not right now at least, but I figured I'd build good habits while I'm still new to the class rather than later. Luster gameplay seemed like gibberish for the longest time to me but i'm starting to understand the reason behind every move. I'm literally watching it in 0.5x speed lmao.

      Hey, you're right, I often use Scatter Stay before a front step counter for a few reasons. The first reason concerns positioning. A front step makes you go forward by design, so you will advance and lose height doing a counter even just a little. And if you're too close you can end up with crossing the target or getting strange camera angles I dislike. But that's not all, sometimes engaging a front step from farther is also a way to adjust height. Indeed you can engage the step a little sooner than if you're sticking to the enemy, and lose height to hit where you want. 6:38 - Here, without Scatter Stay to counter from farther it would have missed the weakpoint. Finely Scatter Stay just before a counter increase you dps by following what I call a "Counter Cancel". Luster has access to 3 "short PA" being : Scatter Stay, Flechette Stay and Hollow Point. These PAs have a real short animation but above all they're designed in a single hit. Therefore, even if you cancel these PAs with a step, as long as the "single hit" has fired you will get full PA damage for a partial animation. So equal damage for less time = better DPS. That's why doing short PAs just before or between counters is a good idea. Hollow point if the tragets is too far (here when masca is dashing at 35s ruclips.net/video/IAL7OcFQL60/видео.html). Scatter if you want to move back, but also to damage since a single Scatter does more damage than 1 flechette. Flechette is similar to Scatter, but it's better if you're getting 2 of them before a counter. So spamming Flechette Stay when you know an attack is coming is a posibility. I like Scatter a lot so you will se me doing it often before an attack, but sometimes it's also a Flechette. In the end, Luster damage output can be increased by a significant ammount if you take every opportunity you have to deal constant damage.

    Do you activate Lighring on cooldown or just when it's convenient to do so? I find it really annoying to do 3 normal attacks with Luster, and sometimes I can't even see the petals underneath my character with fomel clusters being constantly activated. EDIT: Never mind, I just realized the petals show up when I do an enhanced normal for Jellen, I guess I can use that as a tell to check if it's ready or not. Sorry, I started this game like a month ago and I literally just got my Klauz weapon.

      Indeed klauz potential can’t be tricky to notice at first, but once you get used to you will anticipate the CD. Enhanced normal is a good way to see if it’s available since it’s in your rotation. But if jellen is already applied just go for normal attacks, it’s faster ^^.
