I wasn't expecting any plans for 2-3 decades but it doesn't surprise me with how FSG operate that they're already looking at how to expand further, I have no idea how the council would agree to a Kop expansion with it being a main road behind but I guess there's always a way🤔 dalglish stand would sure make sense to be the next one

I think Chiesa will play a bigger role for us later in the season once players start to look a bit tired and we are hopefully still going for the legaue. He's definitely been injured and looks to be back in training yetserday having a laugh so I just think journalists are trying to make something out of nothing. If you want to stay with the big boys with United going to be building 100 K Stadium and Newcastle going to build a 70+ K stadium and Arsenal expanding into 80 K we need a brand-new stadium 100 K for the size of the club that’s what we need to be looking at right now immediately

Kelleher won't be there much longer. New guy bought for big money and Allison is top class. Chiesa is a strange one. Either not fit or just not good enough after Slot has had a luck at him, Italian players coming to England rarely work out. It seemed like a transfer for the sake of it really and maybe to appease the fans after missing out on Zubimendi.

Keeper wise, I would be happy to keep Kelleher as no 1. He’s improved year on year. But we have the quandary of Mamardashvili coming in. But, if KelleherI wants to go, I’d want more than 35 million for him….especially from Chelsea.

Is the stadium being expanded and when will the works start?

I cant see how yu can heigten the SKD stand and put on a third teir without at lrast the demplition ofthe houses in Skerries Road maybe also the houses inn the next road to that (i think its Almo Road) due to right to light laws, so im not very optamistic Liverpool FC will d a SKD expansion for at least 30 more years .The Kop on the other hand has to be done and its height reflect the height of the Annie Road or Main Stand.The terrace slope on the Kop is a 26 degree slope which is quite Shallow compared to the slope of th Dortmund yellow wall which is 37 degres so yoy could heighten the Kop increse rhe terrave slope and get a lot nore rows of seats into the kop without really having to go further back . By also removing the current roof of the Kop to heighten it to the height of the main stand then that would also allow the cornors of the Kop to be filled in and again increase the capacity levels.Personally i think the Kops name and standing in word football demaands it needs to be modernused and expanded but a further increase of 5,000 seats at the ground will mean LFC will also have to improve the transport links around Anfield which then adds significantlt tocost implications. The longer term outlook for the Kop really should be seeing the Walton Breck Road moved sightly back and it expand in its size with two dedicated new lanes for Buses , Slidders or trams to aceheive the required improved transport links for a ground with a larger Kop of 20,000 seats and a capacity of 70,000 This is a distinct possibility and should be the first and much needed next part to a Anfield expansion /Kop expansion programme that should be planned into a new 10 year plan for the owners to be looking at..If it requires the Club shop to be moved again to acheivethis then so be it there isenough spare land around the ground for this to be done and development considerations for LCC to make for the upgradeing of Anfield for the residents of the area to also benefit from . In breif The SKD may have ro wait for many more years, youcant force people out of their homes but the Kop expansion is a easier to do and a must be done project over the next 9 or 10 years whoever our owners maybe.

Isnt another obstacle that a further increase in capacity would require better routes to and from the stadium like a train platform or tram service etc? Its difficult match days to get away or even back into the city.

What football field looks so ugly, unaesthetic, if it's already been built, it should be renewed, over here it just keeps upgrading and it looks ugly, the stadium has been there for ages and refuses to change.

There are examples of solutions for all the stumbling blocks around the world and Uk even. Newcastle talk of expanding, and they've a lot less room than Anfield. Problems are there to be solved. Even if they made new roofs for older stands, which match the newer roof profiles, and added a few more boxes above. IDK?? Great video again though ta!!

There is a simple solution for the Kop extension which I have commented on previously. Walton Breck Road behind the Kop is always put forward as the major obstacle to any Kop expansion, but its a simple solution to divert the road to through the land where the Church and Park pub are located. This diversion can be on a permanent or temporay basis while the Kop is buult over the current line of the road before reopening it. The road is definitely not too wide to build over, its a simple solution. LFC already own most of the land opposite the Kop. The staging area for such works is the area of vacant land behind the Main Stand. I would suggest a 4 tier car park be built over the Stanley Road car park also.

The easiest solution is for the owners to cough up for people to move , and bring in a rail link , what will that cost £30-£50 mill and then the build costs on top, its a fair bit of money however thats the cost of one player these days,

I think the best move for the Kop would be to completely demolish it and make it steeper. I get that it doesn’t make sense to spend millions on just an additional 3-5K seats, but the Kop is so small that any renovation/expansion will involve dismantling it from the outside anyway. If they make it steeper they may not have to build over the road as much too.

great vid gb correct me if im wrong but dont we still hold a lease for 100 years from when hicks and gillette ran the club they signed off with liverpool council for lease so i dont see why they dont re build a new stadium. as iconic as anfield is if we had the space of stanley park not only could we replicate it but bring it up to the standard that is gonna be needed for the next 30 years. the kop and skd stand are in bad shape and with stanley park we could build a tram line or a hub for getting in and out of ground. not to mention if they knocked anfield down the money for the land alone could pay a massive chunk of any new stadium. id rather stay at anfield but we have no room

The big problem with expansion of the kop is the cost it would take to expand it. The Kop holds 12,800 the new Anfield road stand 16,000, that's only 3,200 more than the Kop already holds. To get the Kop to 16,000 given its footprint would need some major work. It obviously cannot mimic the Anfield road ends footprint because of the road behind it, even if they done a tunnel it's still a lot of work and would simply not be cost effective for an extra 3,000 seats. The Sir Kenny is possible with the 1st row of houses no longer there, however it would only be able to be similar to the Anfield road stand as in height and depth, the two sides of the Sir Kenny can possibly be filled in (not corners) which would add around an extra 7k-9k taking Anfield to above 70k capacity. This would make more financial sense as they can justify the extra seats and improved hospitality etc. It all depends on those who own the home's behind it, the will of our owners and transport. Quite a lot of variables which unfortunately will not be resolved anytime in the near future.

I love Anfield but we had planning permission for Stanley Park and I wonder if they seriously looked at a new stadium? I would've been finished years ago and we'd be in a 70k plus stadium. I look at what Real Madrid and Barca are doing and we're being left behind!!!
