Videos to help with the teaching and learning of high school mathematics.
I'm a Mathematics and Computing teacher in a school for students aged 11 to 18 years. These videos have been shared primarily for the benefit of the students in my school but it they help others then please feel free to use them.
I don't claim that the uses of technology are the best approaches so please let me know if you have a better approach, and I certainly don't have any official support from Google, Casio, Geogebra, Python, or indeed any other tech company whose products I use.

Making Tiling Patterns with Polypad
This video shows how to use the Polypad tool from the Mathigon website to create tiling patterns using regular polygons. The website can be found here:
mathigon.org/polypad
This is intended for use by high school mathematics students who have been studying angles in polygons and know how to calculate the interior (internal) angle of a regular polygon based on the number of sides that it has.
The link below is for a Wikipedia article of such tilings (known as Euclidean tilings) which gives more information for those who are interested.

Evaluating a Model
Просмотров 1963 года назад
This video is aimed at IBDP Mathematics students who are using data modelling techniques as part of their exploration. It's part of a short series, and describes a method to evaluate how well a model fits the data using the RMSE (Root Mean Squared Error).

Literally thanks alot I am trying to find the p value from last 1week You made it possible for me Thankyou so much❤
dear mr. s, even though i am in the y11 extended class i think this is helpful my teacher didnt teach this yet thank you
Wow you are such a good English native speaker!!!
😊
I can't thank you enough for this video.
Thank you very much
Hello, thank you for the video. What about if the test statistics check is not the same as the one found before. What should I do?
Thank you for the information
thank you sir. three years later and you are saving my grade!
very good video its me give me A++++++++=
good😀
Thanks dude
Thank you, such a huge help!!
Thank you so much for the informative tutorial! Very easy to follow :)
I understood, but I am having trouble with a 3 layer as where only have top and bottom left and bottom right. Would be grateful if you could help me :)
this was really helpful! but my p-value is 0 so when I tried to check if it was correct it showed an error, what do I do there?
I have a few questions if you would; firstly, is there a hot key for inserting the equation? Let's say i'm typing along and I'd like to find f prime. Oh, now worries, just press ALT+Ins, or the like. Secondly, presuming your using android, are you allowed ASCII symbols? As in if I needed to insert a square of something, does it recognize ALT+235 ? Thanks. And one last question, are you able to type quick references like \sqrt? or \sum? Thanks again.
Really well done video!
Very helpful! Thank you so much.
Hello, I have a 2x2 table and was wondering if you could elaborate on the correction you mentioned.
Geeezus thank you. The annoyance was real arrrggh
thank you so much
No problem! Glad to have helped :)
Can't hear anything in your video. Speak louder , volume in maxed out. Commercials are pretty loud.
What a video man
hello, i have some zeroes in my table, so i cannot run the chi square test, can you help? idk what to do, have a dissertation due on monday thanks @eleven bottles
you are an angel!
Thank you- very helpful video! what happens if the p-value in the "check" is different?
Thank you! Sorry to tell you that, if the two values aren't the same, then you've probably made a mistake in the formulas, and you'll have to check each one. Sorry!
Thanks a lot for the video. It helped a lot
Great 👍 new sub
What if one Of the numbers is zero?
Thank you really help me
thank you !
How can i put the inequality sign in graph?
THANK YOU!! it helped me so much!!!
Excelent!
Thank you so much for this video!!! The explanation was quite simple and straight forward!
Thank you
good video
Thank you! I needed to understand this test for some statistics I need in my master's thesis. This video made it possible for me to perform and understand the chi test. I have one question though, do you recommend any alternative to chi test for tables bigger than 2x2, which have observed values lower than 1? I cannot find anything that I could do in Excel.
good speaking voice, thx
Thanks... Proper explanation.... You made my day easy
can you explain the calculation you did when you created the expected table?
that was well explained and it helped me a lot thank you sir
Hi
Thank you, your video helped me a lot.
Thankyou very much for this video✨...finally i found out how to delete a border in google docs
This is great thank you soooooo much
THANK YOU SO MUCH, you have single handedly saved me from failing physics, if I ever get into my dream school I will come back and thank you 😃!!!
This was soo helpful thank you so much 🙏🏾
