I’m from Llanelli and regularly go to ‘Terry’s’ to have a game of snooker and a the odd game of pool. I remember Terry Griffiths when I was younger. He’d take the time to stop, have a look at your shot and then he’d say ‘shit’ and walk off 🤣 Great guy. Straight as they come. He’d spend most of his time in Costa during his last years. A true gent. ❤ Thanks for this upload.

I think Alex was complaining at the end. He was all smiles when winning. Losing he was a terrible loser blaming everybody else

Alex should have played this way everytime he played Terry - calm composed and not too drunk. When he played this way he was better than anybody.

Pompous Rex Pompous Williams. Alex made the game. He attracted viewers by the millions, and provided Rex pompous Williams with a very comfortable living being a pompous prat. Jesus, how I hate pompous semi-talented, high-handed arseholes who manage to finagle themselves into positions whereby they can, as lesser talented participants, impose their authority over far more talented people. Good on yer' Rex. Your only real talent was that of being a pompous arsehole.

    • @Victor-e6n7s

Did you know that Rex had a 50/50 record from 10 matches v Alex? and lost by the odd frame in the 1972 World Semi final 31-30 to Higgins. Rex won 5-3 in the 1975 Masters and In the 80s he got the better of Higgins 5-2 in The Mercantile of 1985, 5-1 in the Grand Prix 1986 where he reached the final. The games with Alex were often close when Rex lost. I'd hardly call that someone that didn't have any talent!

Cliff Thorburn often bored his opponents to defeat. He takes so much time thinking nearly every shot and then spends almost as long feathering. Still, loved the late 80s to middle 90s era. Current era does not come close. Snooker was a huge TV sport back then.
