Stevie Ray Vaghan Jeff Beck Cool Constrution!
What!?? The double kick 😮
Brings back memories of seeing this show in Cleveland in 1989 ! I've seen many great concerts but this one ranks #1 ! SRV had just recently gotten clean ! He's touring his album ' In Step ' and JB was touring his album ' Guitar Shop '. All I can say is WOW ! Actually, I can't say anything ! It left me speechless !
Xanax ad😅dasdxac cs ADP zzz a 😊
Excellent perfomance~~~!!!!!
I met Robben after the show at The Birchmere in 2003 and he was very nice and cordial. He signed my cd Tiger Walk but he kept my Sharpie.
lol
if you appreciate his playing what is a sharpie? small price to pay...not a fan of people complaining about those with extraordinary sharing their energy to give us pleasure...

Let's wake this up again
An incredible underrocognized guitarist. This guy is unbelievable. Damn this is over 25 years old. And it still makes my .... foot tap
Underrecognized? Where have you been? Under a rock? He’s literally known as one of the greats.
Fantastico
guitar domination right here !
Doin what comes natural in the best way possible ! Miss you brother Stevie !
THAT TONE!
Two jedi masters waving their light sabres around like they just don't care.
Stevie was definitely in top form this night! I can't listen to this while I'm driving.
this video is gold. when was this ?
Stevie Ray Vaughan AND Jeff Beck are both bad ass guitar players
I was lucky enough to see Stevies guitar (the one in this video) on the stand up close at a guitar clinic in Kansas City, MO back in the early 80's. Stevie had .012's on that thing and it was at least a quarter inch off the fret board. That was the day I learned about tone coming from your hands and not your amp. Changed my guitar playing forever.
Fuck, I'm a huge fan of both, and Stevie's solo had the fire, but if you're a guitar player, you'll know how HARD it is to replicate what Beck did. Great fucking solo's.
makes me think of Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits
Judging any one appearance of Jeff Beck or Stevie Ray Vaughn as their legacy or legacies is something like condemning Steven Tyler for his version of " The Star Spangled Banner " at the Patriots - Ravens AFC Championship Game. They are both great and no one here was trying to bury anyone. They both have equal respect and did plenty of Un- Earthly playing.Jimi Hendrix was the reason they both sought to master the Tremolo Bar. I've played a lot,I've read a lot& I've listened to many, many interviews.
Jeff Beck doesn't look intimidated whatsoever and Jeff Beck isn't clinical either. Where do you think that Kerry King,Jeff Hanneman( of Slayer ) Steve Vai and Edward Van Halen got their Tremolo Bar Techniques from ? Jeff Beck and Ritchie Blackmore is the answer. They cited these guys themselves and like Jeff because he takes chances with his playing.Vai is probably the best example. Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman the second closest.Hell do you even play ? Good Riddance ; . (
Beck was an acrobat and SRV was more of a power-lifter - both equally entertaining and valuable, musically.
1:24 - now you know why the man needed 13s!
kickass
@jonahtran1 Took the words right out of my mouth. In fact what about the original studio version JB did? Feedback god comes to mind.
@rrussell39 Jeff Beck is an absolute brilliant guitar player in his own way. Too clean? Have you heard his songs from "Jeff?" Or "Who Else?" That's anything BUT clean and proper. He's extremely versatile and CAN be clean and proper, but trust me. I've seen him live. Even at 67 years old he's a flawlessly talented guitar player that no one can touch. Stevie is too, but on a different level.
@Mccabone Impossible. Becky was not at Alpine Valley
I saw both of them at Alpine Valley an evening before SRV went back to planet guitar... Best I ever saw....!
I saw their concert in Louisville, Ky. Beck openned. He was incredible, but after 30 minutes or so, he is only interesting to guitarists and enthusiasts. His show got monotonous. It's like listening to a guitar instructional CD. SRV blew him away because he had guitar prowess (maybe a little less godly?) but was just more entertaining to hear the songs crafted with the whole band in mind and vocals. The crowd reaction was proof that thousands of people agreed with me that night.
😂
I'm not saying SRV was a better player - it's all subjective anyway - but, that one time at least, he owned Jeff Beck. Very few people from this planet can do such a thing.
No one ever sings the 2nd verse properly. Sure, Don Nix, (composer), & Freddy King,(original recording artist), each sing -slightly- different words, but no one else has come close to learning either version of the 2nd verse,(& a -lot- of guys have recorded it). Lazy bastards just use the song as an excuse to play solos.
I had the chills the entire video.
see music aint got no color.its just fine.
Love the way the bass player hits the cameraman at 4:08 :) Great instrumental, love Fords aggressive and funky playing (the album version is quite tame compared to this).
I was watching the video and decided to check the comment section.....the moment I read your comment I looked at that video again and it was that exact time :D
Jeff Beck is Jeff Beck.SRV is more of a Hendrix model.
This song was written for Stevie and Jimmie Vaughan, right?
yes
@@PurpleHounding by who?
lol SRV is God, and Beck is Jesus
Stevie Ray Vaughan goes fucking hard
I can't believe that I never bothered to see Stevie Ray Vaughn. I've seen Jeff Beck in one form or another three times, and me and my wife even had to leave halfway during one of the shows because he was playing so damn loud. But Stevie Ray? What an EPIC FUCK UP on my behalf. When I make it to heaven (?), I owe him a huge apology !
@2short2q Seen them do this live on SRV's last tour [this one]. Yes!
Damn It! I'm so broke that I couldn't afford to pay my Exorcist , So I Got REPOSSESED!!!
Brilliant,love it !
It's "Vaughan", scro.
2short2q: I CONCUR. SAW SRV BEFORE HE WAS FAMOUS IN AUSTIN. GOOD TO SEE THEM TOGETHER. SAW JEFF IN PHILLY.
my oh my, SWUNG ON BELTED !!!!
Robbins looking like Terry Silver here. (you know the bad guy from karate kid 3?)
Fender rules.....
about halfway through, i just stopped the video and spent about 5 minutes contemplating what a BAMF that bass player is. oh, and robben ford is pretty sick too. dayum.
roscoe beck.
@rrussell39 Srv cuts through the mix much better than jeff does, but this is just one song. And Beck really plays interesting stuff... Stevie is 'the blues" when jeff is only the very best in "british blues"... Excellent guys anyway!!
Nice vocal by Stevie.
So what . Beck can get sounds out of a guitar that nobody else can. The two of them together is insane.
