Hello friends, here we are with another piece inspired by the shape of the spiral, such an ancient and important symbol that is part of our natural environment and our universe. Working on spirals and circles (mandalas) has deep benefits for our emotional sphere, as well as for mental strengths.

I'm still working on one of your previous practices (I use color pencil, mostly, so they take longer). First time I heard that song I was taking an elective intro to piano class and the professor decided to do a casual run mid semester and it sounded beautiful. Somehow the original does not compare and I'll never hear that piano version again.

Yes i love the result , but when i look at you and process what i think ,why make it simple when you can go doing it complicate ? That what i think
I am not sure I understand your question. What I do in my tutorial is presenting a product with a medium level ( intermediate) of difficulty, so viewers can adjust the practice and simplify it or add more details that require more skills. I always include option in my description box and verbally while presenting. Sometimes, I could do my pieces with less steps, but as Art teacher I know the hidden benefits of all steps, that’s why I include them. I hope this helps 😊 Thanks for watching.

I just checked and you are right. I honestly don’t know what could have happened. Anyway, I was able to correct the thumbnail so it does matches the video now. @@ArtwithMs.B (Sorry so long!) I can tell what your style is from watching your videos. You're actually teaching me that IT'S OK to paint flowers, leaves, etc. in "unconventional" colors, and that it will still turn out beautiful. Also not to put so much pressure on myself to "get it right" but rather to enjoy the process and accept mistakes. Most importantly TO FINISH what I've started no matter how I feel about the piece at the time. I recently painted something and really didn't like it after I finished. I found it in my sketchbook 2 or 3 weeks later and actually fell in love with it! I couldn't understand why I disliked it so much at the time it was finished! I think that so many factors can go into one's dislike of a piece (time of day, stress level, etc.) that you never truly know how you feel about it until you tuck it away and pull it out at a later date. You might just be surprised like I was!!

Sometimes, it's nice to break away from the strict curriculum and class schedule of school and just create with no rules! I completely agree with you on that! I just ordered a new mixed media sketchbook, which should arrive tomorrow. This will be my first project. Thanks again for all you do and all the inspiration you give! ❤

I love these Talavera designs so much! I have been making a first copy in my art journal and a final copy on nice watercolor paper. I finally finished number four in my journal tonight, so I will do it on watercolor tomorrow and post them all to the Facebook group! I enjoy doing each design twice, especially following your rule of finishing what we start. This way, I can note any mistakes I made or perhaps wish I had done differently and do it on the second one. 😅

For this design I used extra fine Sharpies. Sakura Pigma Micron markers are also very good but way more expensive than Sharpies. Another good brand is Stafford Ultra Fine markers. I think you can buy all of these on Amazon or Michaels stores. Thanks for watching my videos 😊
