I hear too much noise and the voice is not clean. Perhaps a sennheiser ME2 would be better.

From the date, this video is quite old. You reference the smaller 055 RC4. I can't find it on Manfrotto's site. I guess they don't make it any more. Can you recommend an equivalent? Thanks for the video. I can now appreciate its massive size!

Hi Martin, I'm having a real hard time finding a tutorial on how to use this model in combination with my old Samsung S5 smartphone. I have the set configured and synchronized ready to go but I'm stuck at that point. I feel that it must be a real obviously simple task given that it's not out there on YT. Can't wait to use it.

I disagree about the bubbles - totally useless since we have the same functionality and better implemented in all modern cameras.

Hey Martin; Would I be able to use a Y connector (1 male, 2 female) on the Sennheiser EW100 G2,receiver, to monitor the audio, with earphones, while using this on a DSLR? In other words, will it change the db scale? My Nikon D5200 does not have an earphone jack:) Thanks, Ron

can you extract in full (as in detach) the centre column from the legs?

I just bought this POS. When I tried to put in the 90 degrees mode pieces went flying everywhere!! DO NOT BUY this. I'm glad I didn't have my camera attached.

I sold my D800 in favor of a D700 and a D3. The D800 was simply not usable at ISO 2000 or above, it is very sensitive and prone to vibration even from the shutter itself which for macro photography is a complete nightmare. The top lefthand corner of the screen had issues with AF and working with 80MB files per picture was a total pain the arse. I much rather have two bodies that can actually deliver great results at ISO 4000, 5000 and 6400, one with fantastic AF and burst rate and the other with amazing color and image quality.

Hi, thanks for the nice review. I was wondering, that nobody on the internet (I saw few more reviews) bothered to explain that this is hydrostatic head and what exactly it means. I think the reason for only slight movement of the lock levers is required (pan and ball) is exactly because of that, but I wanted to know more.

I see you put the receiver on the remote flash, I was under the impression that the remote flash has a built in receiver?? Is that the 560 iii only?

I'm a film shooter using Rolleiflex TLR. I'm getting together a Strobist kit and already have 1 SB-24 Nikon flash with PaulBuff Cybersync radio triggers. The second light is an older Sunpak 544. Should I finish getting Sunpak together? Or invest in this flash. The Sunpak is a beast and you goggle it about output. Great review.

Intelligent review, thanks. One detail that's worth noting I think is that that the centre column can easily be removed to make packing for travel a little easier. I use a Slik AF2100, an excellent pistol ball head that adds another 15 cm/5.5" height.

Hi. This maybe an unrelated item but i google went recently to google chrome which uses google drive. I now find that I can not create a jpeg from a tiff to allow me to send a photo as an attachment with an email. With your experience would you have an answer to this problem as it is driving me mad.

Nice videos. Tried these BR straps and just can't get used to them. Don't like swinging my D4 upside down and don't trust loop fitting. Much prefer regular strap over the shoulder or none at all.

Is it possible to awake the remote flash when it goes into a sleep mode? My gear: Nikon D90 and SB 600
