    What is the surgery??? I had Laser for my Glaucoma 3 weeks ago - Argon laser trabeculoplasty (ALT) is the most common type of laser surgery. It's usually used to treat open angle glaucoma, I will know in a couple of weeks if the pressure has come down. Was a waste of time watching this video. Maybe this was what she has? - What kind of surgery do they do for glaucoma? What is trabeculectomy? This type of surgery is usually used to treat open-angle glaucoma. It's done in a hospital and usually takes less than an hour. The surgeon will create a tiny opening in the top of your eye.

I've been told to apply drops which I'm doing but still my sight is narrowing by the day. I was told in 2005 that I'd have Glaucoma in 10 years time, I didn't take it seriously as I didn't know how serious the Disease was. I'm now warning everyone I know to have an eye check yo avoid what I'm going thru.

      Myopathy is a general term referring to any disease that affects the muscles that control voluntary movement in the body. Patients experience muscle weakness due to a dysfunction of the muscle fibers. Some myopathies are genetic and can be passed from parent to child.

If you see 5/6 with glasses, lasik will make you see 5/6 without glasses,Consult a good doctor, check the side effects and compatibility (cornea thickness, eye number etc.), be sure to tell the doctor any medical history like high blood pressure or diabetes related issues. what are the advantages of PRK over Lasik then?

    • @sup696r94
      @sup696r94 2 года назад

      Overall, PRK is considered to be safer and more effective in the long term because it doesn't leave a flap in your cornea. The flap left behind by LASIK can be subject to greater damage or complications if your eye is injured.

    • @elenadianabrambilla1442
      @elenadianabrambilla1442 3 месяца назад

      Prk doesn't damage your stroma, so your eye is stronger afterwards, as an eye of an unoperated person. The epitelium is removed, so it has to regrow, and this is very painful. In lasik technique a flap is created, which does repair only in the edge not in the center. The result is less pain, but a more fragile eye. Surgeons usually do prk on themselves, painful in the short run, safer in the long-term.
