The Blue Note Organ Trio is a musical project founded by guitarist Michael Papadopoulos in September 2015. The project is a homage to the legendary record label Blue Note Records, which in the 50’s and 60’s (especially between 1952 and 1965) released some of the most classic albums in the history of jazz.

Surrey With The Fringe On Top?
Reets And I Bud Powell
The pianist sounds like Sun Ra who just drunk an LSD cocktail prepared by Thelonious Monk
Superb 😍
A good read through. With more time at it, you'll play the tune while being inside of it.
The Backstabbers, great tune......
Pasquale and Sacha may have gotten together at the bar later on but sadly not on the bandstand.
R O B E R T A !!!!!
Hot players! Nice to hear straight ahead jazz played this well!
Roy died way too soon Great tribute
burnin!
Amazing! Thanks for the upload.
great tone on the tenor
that pianist has some cool ideas, but the time isnt quite there
Beautiful
Crikey, I thought I was bad.
Nicely sung. Perfect pitch. Thank you.
That's okay for whatever complaints you may have Veronica did a great job
Great gig!!!
Ευχαριστούμε Δημήτρη! Είχες έρθει σe εκείνο το φεστιβάλ;
@@bluenoteorgantrio4207 ναι!!! Φανατικος της real jazz! 🙃
give piano player a claw hammer damn PASQUALE needs no back up trust me
SUPERB !!!!!!!!!!
Bravo 👏 Claus is the maestro 🙌❤️
Pretty well played and solo close to Bud but third chord of a theme is wrong - many people play it like that.
The pianist may be a genious as you all say. But seems he is trying to call more attention to himself stepping all over the soloist, even in the solo break. Why comp banging chords so hard on downbeats and overuse outsideness clouding the harmony? Maybe I have too much to learn and his geniousness is way over my head. But to my ignorant ears his sound and attitude are rather irritating
Love the groove , what I was lookin for!
If you don't know or understand my man please chill and just listen he is way out in front of many listening and Player's sphere. I Love Ya'll but let him get where he is I've played with Sacha over 30yrs ago he's a Beast not just anybody can vibe with him!
Alvin Queen made this one big drum solo...not hi best work,,too busy, with scott alll you need to do is keep clean time. ..actually its as if the rhythm section wasn't listening at all.
Piano...? Guitar..? sound balancing...? everything in perfection.
Yesss
The "Thelonious" circle of 5ths was most refreshing ...
Dr. knows best! Finally someone who gets it 🙏🏽 You play fantastically btw.. would love to see more videos

I’m 13, you must be 18 now, and now he is most definitely my guitar hero!
Alright Leonardo. Good job! Unity (my fav album) forever!!

Ogni volta che Ti ascolto imparo qualcosa e corro a studiare.
Your fan from Istanbul!!!!
That pianist is OFF! Nothing worse than singing with a pianist like that! He needs to LISTEN and not just do his own thing.
What’s “off” is what you’ve been taught about jazz your entire life. Keep listening to your euro-trash Keith Jarrett albums, play your half assed modal garbage and stfu. Ok?
@@hayaomiyazaki4899 I know Veronica, am a singer myself, and my style is straight ahead so you have no idea what you're talking about. Pianist sounds great until 1:30 when he can no longer follow her scatting and starts playing the wrong chords. You can see it on her face. Listen before you insult people who know more than you.
@@delderful you literally don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about. Straight ahead? No body gives a shit about your supposed style. If you haven’t spent you’re life studying bebop you can’t know more. Obviously you haven’t because you are too jazz illiterate to understand the complex harmonies Sacha is playing. You should learn about what borrowed diminished notes are. Learn about actual jazz instead of being a fake hack who pretends to sing in the shower.
@@delderful nobody gives a shit about who you know. And you can’t forget something you’ve never been able to fully comprehend. But keep doing what your white professors tell you to do instead of thinking for yourself. Maybe that’ll get you somewhere in life.. idiot
@@delderful a real scatter would be able to adapt just like a horn player would. Dumb kunt.

Splendido. Leonardo come sempre capace di dire una parola nuova, anche sul più collaudato degli schemi.
and why the guitarist don't react...
For once, Scott is supported by a GREAT drummer, not just a good one. it does make a difference.
Thé piano on this track could be more low profile When it comes to back guitarists .....sorry about the word "pretencious". I bet if Rudy van Gelder would see this video he would say " Sacha, i that track you are a gifted jazz pianist but you tend eclipsing your fellow guitarist"; piano with guitar in Jazz is very delicate... Listen a while the late Nat King Cole- Trio recordings ! regards and deeply sorry again for the ofensive word I used, Sacha and, Merry Chirstmas!
Thank you for your measured and considered reply. your point is well taken and I will only make two points in return. This is a live sit in type of situation, I not actually being on the gig. We're this to be released, Rudy would fix it up,or another session would be called if that wasn't possible. Or I'd be fired. You got the raw cut, I'm afraid. Also,it might be a bit presumptuous to assume that I don't know Nat King Cole's trio work. Or Clarence Profits. Or Herman Chittisons and Art Tatum's.Sometimes rawness is a decision. Things don't always pan out but l stand by the general quality of my work in most cases. Maybe that's the pretentious part. Also, remember Pasquale himself posted this. You'd have to ask him why. I return your kind regards, and don't sweat the apology. You're just saying what you feel.
@@sachaperry3899 Don't sweat with those type of compliments. I live in London UK and know you can kick ass; so be it
@@raefblack7906 thank you
@@sachaperry3899 Sacha Perry commenting on RUclips.. Who would've thunk it ! Stay as beautiful as you are. Regards from the Eenie Reenie.
@@sachaperry3899 Pasquale posted this because only one who truly understands the music gets the brilliance and intelligence behind every note you choose to play. All these modal and modern fake jazz cats don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground
unbearable...... this pretencius pianist !
Can you play better and more intelligently? Happy Christmas. P.s. if this is not the case ,is not your no doubt well intentioned critisci sm quite as pretentious as the playing? Best wishes to you doing better your self in What is admittedly an interesting in the Chinese sense when better music is not easily to be found. The pretentious one apologises that you could not take one positive impression from this particular performance and takes your comment in the spirit of the love of jazz music in which you offer it. I shall try to do better for you next time, though of course I cannot perhaps guarantee this at any one time . I Will say that the considered opinions of those who know what they are talking about are always worth the highest consideration. I Thank you very. Much again and perhaps I will soon learn to write and Play less pretentiously thanks to your vigilance. Will you take an obvious knuckleheads vow to try to do better in future? I thank you again and wish you and yours the compliments of the season and better things to come for all. I hope I can better satisfy you in future. Cheers
Haters have the most to say about these guys, funny how theyre the best playing today, dont listen to that goofball sacha
