    Can you use another yarn rather than t-shirt yarn? Also I have a basket base with a measurement of 7" x 3" and 44 holes. Can I i still use this pattern for that size?

    • @thegreenlakecraftstudio
      @thegreenlakecraftstudio 9 дней назад

      @sandytakacs9926 hi, of course you can use another yarn. I've been crocheting with cord too. This pattern can be used with any base - rectangular, square or circular. The pattern is 2 stitches, so make sure you've got even number of stitches when you've done the second round (where you need to increase the stitches in the cirners). Best crafty wishes, Irina

    Hiya, I have six balls of chunky (12ply) yarn that I was hoping to use to make a moses basket. Do you think this would work with this base?

      @nicoladrake4615 hi, tshirt yarn or cord are used for moses baskets. I haven't seen someone using any other yarn. From my experience the sides won't keep the shape using acrylic or wool.

    • @thegreenlakecraftstudio
      @thegreenlakecraftstudio 8 месяцев назад

      It depends on what you're going to store in the basket. I make smaller height baskets for jewellery or lipsticks, higher for pencils or makeup brushes. You can choose your own height according to your needs. Best wishes and happy crocheting.

      Hi, thanks for watching my video. If you are using the same yarn thickness 7-9mm, then try to make the same sequence - 1DC in the next 2 holes, 2DC in the next hole, and one more increase in the last hole. And I would suggest to make stitches loose, don't make them tight. Happy crocheting!
