2024 SRAM RED AXS Hoods - REAL One-finger Braking!
No joke... you can one-finger brake when stopping from the highest speeds or down the steepest pitches. The new lever design delivers a new standard in braking comfort and power and also eliminates the finger-pinching when fully-compressed.

2024 SRAM Red AXS Hoods - Brake and Shift Lever Reach Adjustment
Просмотров 5754 месяца назад
With the newest SRAM Red AXS, it's easier than ever to adjust the lever and shifter reach. A simple port exposes a 2.5mm hex bolt that allows easy adjustment inward or outward. This is particularly important as the new hoods feature a longer reach than the previous-generation, which makes the lever reach adjustment more common. It's super easy to do and makes a huge difference in how easy it is...

What to do when your SRAM AXS shifter battery dies? - FeedThehabit.com
Просмотров 7 тыс.11 месяцев назад
With all the batteries on modern road and gravel bikes, it's not a matter of "if" you'll encounter a dead battery on a ride, but "when" you will. In this video, I share a pro tip as a workaround when m SRAM Rival XPLR shifter battery died on a ride. Old-school "backcountry skiing" when we didn't know much more than powder-seeking. Luckily, we didn't get ourselves into too much trouble just outside The Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah. This was the winter of 1999... That's yours truly in the yellow jacket.

i have the same drive train, i just charged up the battery when i put it back on the bike i see the green light come on. but when i try to shift nothing happens. any thoughts on this?
It's pretty funny watching all the sram fanboys discovering you can brake with one finger with hydro and talking about it like it's some new innovation when I've been doing it on shimano for years and years, and I'm only on 105 not dura-ace
I too have and have had all the levers from every brand. Campy has had this dialed for years. Shimano is solid for sure, but I'm confident you'll notice that little bit extra the new RED provides. It's definitely noticeable.
nice! have you tried the newest generation sram force levers? Or are you just comparing to the previous gen sram Red?
I have the current Force and Rival and it is definitely improved over those designs too.
Thanks for this review, I was really wondering if it was worth the pickup and you helped convince me.
Great video. Thanks!
Why is there a battery in your left shifter if you are running 1x?
SRAM AXS shifters are paddle shifting, so you need both shifters to up/downshift.
My shifter battery die quickly ( only for 1 week use or not use) I do not know why and how can treat it, anh one has a help plz?
I put a set of these on my CheckPoint and really like them. They are very speedy on the road and great for hardpack gravel. I had to replace a pair of Pirelli Gravel H and thought I would give these a shot. I appreciate the small amount of additional width, going from the 40 to the 42.
I’ve just been stranded for the second time with my AXS system. Batteries don’t last more than two rides. If I had it to do over, I’d get Shimano with cables.
Did you check the shifter battery before your rides? If the light is solid green you're battery is fine. But if not solid green, for example flashing green I'd change the battery. You should never have a dead battery since it's so easy to check.
I always check the derailleur batteries, but neglected to check the shifter batteries. And, I actually wanted to see what would happen and how I could best make my way home with only one functional shifter. You know, for science.
Looks like these are also available in 35mm and 38mm which is great! Many good tyres starting at 40mm and up, nowadays
Thanks, got me home without walking uphills.
good stuff!
Good video, I've seen it in the manuel but never on a video. Tip, carry a 2032 battery, they are so tiny that it's almost stupid not to take one with you all the time.
If you didn’t use the stupid 1x and used 2x you could just swap the batteries round 🤣
Actually... this was a dead shifter battery, not a derailleur battery. You can't swap them quite as easily.
If you weren’t stupid to begin with you’d see the video has nothing to do with that battery.

I am fairly new to mountain biking and live about a mile from this trail. How difficult is it?
I can't remember the name of the song, but it was taken from the Submlimation Experiment soundtrack from KGB Productions
Hey habit, I shazaam'd this song, and it came up as Frosty the Snow Man, by Finnish artists Eija, Mervi, and Yli-Vainio...this true? I'll never find this shit then lol

Mineral is the best.1800 ft vertical high speed quad that goes straight up. You can get massive vertical quickly. Varied terrain and beautiful views make it hard to beat!
This is some of the best biking in Utah.
i got a Specialized pitch pro back in july and im fully chuffed with it. i am into a bit of downhill/trail blasting/XC and this bike is more than up for it. as well as that it climbs like a XC bike. this is a perfect combination for me and i would definatly recommend it to anyone who enjoys these different riding styles. i think im in love!
Great video!!
Cant wait to go back here...
So sick! I have SOO much more to lear about biking. :/
sweet
+1 ! What about the Song please ? :D
any 1 know the song?
I like Cannondale bikes more, but I do have to agree, Yeti is amazing. I get to test a 575 out about a year ago and it was phenomenal. They're also made in my homestate of CO. Great bikes from a great state :)
sik bro
Nice .
I have an 07 575 and it's got me back into riding. I can't imagine how good the 08 is considering most folk say it is even better. Yeti customer service is excellent.
Is that the new lift. Oh man I'm so psyched to go this year! I love this place!
Unfortunately for you, you missed out on some of the best turns of the season. Gotta be patient and willing to wait. As you can see, it was well worth it.
I hear ya man... We were all freezing and anxious to get things rolling. When DV had the unexpected mechanical issue, we were frustrated to say the least. But, when everyone started hiking back out, every one of us was like "what the heck are those people thinking?" I know when you're faced with losing valuable ski time at DV where the lift ticket isn't cheap, you likely said "Hey, lets ski somewhere else because this is a joke."
DAM! I want 1!!!!!!!! :( its not fair :(!!
If you want something a little more XC, the Marin Mount Vision Pro was a nice ride also.
I'd honestly have to go with the 575 and that's what I said was the best IMO. However, there are several other bikes out there that are less expensive that will do you well: 2008 Specialized Pitch Pro 2008 Transition Covert But, if you want the best trailbike, I'd definitely say the Yeti 575.
