Honda Del Sol New Manual Steering Rack, Wheel Hub, and Innovative Shift Linkage Install!!
Getting some parts off the floor and onto the car!! I am replacing the existing powering steering rack with manual steering rack due to the turbo install, which should fix some of the tight steering. While working on the car in discovered that the driver side wheel hub bearing was bad, so that was replaced, which forced me to replace the wheel hub. I had and issue with the existing welded shift linkage, so that was replaced with the new Innovative shift linkage which was made for the B series motor!!

Anyone used 0w-20 penzoil ultra platinum full synthetic oil on these vehicles? Amazon has 5qt jug on sale for $23
Have you tried to change your manual tranny gears? Megafactory brand 1st to final drive? Can you make a video for that.. Thank you
@johnbarangas thanks for comment. I may give it a shot. I have only taken them apart haha, but i so have a few laying around. I might try and do that.
Como se traduce al español?
I meant to add that this was good to know too, though, because mechanics, especially where I am, would charge hundreds for that.
Could you tell me if this is where the fuses would be to hard-wire a kit for a dash cam? I have a 2016 Renegade Limited, and I saw a guy on RUclips show a fuse box in the engine area near the driver's side. And in another video, with a Renegade Trail Hawk I think, the fuses were behind the glove compartment. Thanks.
Just wanted to say thank you for the content you've posted! You're awesome
Looking clean sir
Question did you have any issues with the steering rack sliding when you turn the wheel? And is that an OEM steering rack or aftermarket?
@eliterideaccessories222 i have not had any issues yet. Everything seems tight as of now. It's aftermarket. Trq i belive. I will be doing the swap again here soon with the blue del sol.
@@scottyknows7234 ah oh ok! Thank you for the reply. Trying to help a friend and he has both that exact steering rack and NRG brackets but his rack slides side to side causing bump steer :(
@eliterideaccessories222 that sucks man. Was everything tight when the new rack went on? I have to ask haha
@@scottyknows7234 yeah its tight but still flexes/ slides when you turn, it and creates bump steer.
Hey, like your videos, did you use plastic gage before that?
@danielcarter6498 thanks for the comment!!! I did yes.
new sub 🎉
Those pistons sit above the deck i had the same issue
@lukemx8863 they do yes. I increased the size of the gasket to accommodate that and ensure that there is an adequate quench zone.
I hate who ever design the location of these fuse boxes
Oohhh. Nice install and Del Sol! Well done!
@@mishimoto thanks, you guys make it easy!!
Looking good 🤙
@scottyknows7234 Do you like 60 grit belt better than 40 grit belt?
Muito agradecido! Um grande abraço daqui do Brasil!
Awesome video

D16Z6 turbo? But that valve cover its from a B16 o r K20 right?
@akitermoun the new build is a b18c1 in the blue del sol. The red is a d16z6 turbo. Both beasts lol
❤❤❤
That is gonna be a beast! Excellent work sir! Love the new music.
what pistons are those
CP Carrillos
Keep up the good work sir
Nice job, now you only need that Bisi Moto 3.5 cam
For real, i watched every single video of your channel, i just bought a crx del sol, with my girlfriend for take it as a project. We are from spain so we can't use a turbo in a vehicle that doesn't have turbo from stock, but probably we can make 200hp n/a What do you think about the objective?
Your tubs was lining up for bolts to slide down
There should be no screw part on case of the rocker arms til hits the heads it slide down to the head then it can screw
What size turbo is that
Precision 5858
@@scottyknows7234 @what rpm a turbo like that spools ??
what torque specs you used on the girdle
I know this is super old but I just found all your videos and have been watching every single episode. I really like them. You did a great job.
And if that didn't work? 😢
Hey I have a trailblazer too but I could not imagine buying a new transmission for a truck with a hole in the frame that large.
Great news is that those holes have since been repaired. Lol Continues to run great!! Thanks for the comment though!!
@@scottyknows7234 well that makes it a bit better but ya, im in the north east and shit like that is very common. im a mechanic also lol
@JoeyRiz I'm in the northeast as well. I inherited this from my grandmother, who lived near the salt belt. The trailblazer is sorts sentimental, so don't what I can to keep it alive. But for sure I made sure to fix the rust spots. Had 2 and had it professionally done. Lol I will try to weld, but the frame is something that I wasn't willing to tackle. I'm no mechanic by trade, but I do what I can to do things right and save some money lol
Next time just turn your wheel to the right and you can just grab the oil filter by kneeling beside the passenger tire.
the biggest pain in the ass are the springs install since the bc are stiffer i have a hard time with that tool . i may have to modify it more
I just got a Del sol that’s been sitting for 12 years and I was trying to figure out how to rain the gas, thanks for the tip!
Hi, thanks for the vídeo,. Can You help me to get one rubber of that bellow bell housing to engine?
I love you. Now i can install my dash cam❤
Def need a dash cam now a days that for sure haha
what about the compensater arm nut? i saw u drilling the bolt outta the nut. did u drill it all the way out? did u have to tap the nut again after drilling? did u just get a new slot nut? thanks for the video. given better idea what im messing with
Thank you for the comment!! I did have to drill out the bolt. I don't think I had to tap it though if the new bolt doesn't thread, you may have to tap it. My only probably was that the captive nut is welded and I broke the weld. The only way I could see fixing it was to cut the hole out and tack weld it back in place. The captive nut itself is still adjustable. I believe I just bought and new bolt. The captive nut was in good condition, just have to tack it back in its home haha hope that helps, but feel free to ask any other questions. Thanks again for the comment!!
but wasnt the bolt broke in the nut? how u get the bolt outta the nut so could reuse the nut. @@scottyknows7234
The joys of car audio
is D15b7 a jdm or usdm motor?
I’m a rural mailman about to try this is on my 2005 Trailblazer with 207K miles. I’m trying the flexible cable and hoping it makes it easier. I can really do my own brakes, not much of an expert but here we go! 🤞🏻 Thanks so much for content to go off of!
Shes coming around
Hoping you or someone sees this… my friend has the same Renegade as you in that hers also only has 1 vertical dial next to the fog light control (that is by the drivers left knee) She can’t get the dome lights to turn *on* at all… not using the switches by the lights themselves and not by fiddling with that single vertical dial… We aren’t sure if the previous owner removed the bulbs, removed a fuse or if there is some other wiring issue, but all the videos addressing this issue is with vehicles with ~two~ vertical dials, and it’s the one that she doesn’t have that seems to be the way to address the issue
Nice job bro 🔥 👍 💪 💯
Thank man for the comment!! I appreciate it!!
I wish I knew what you were saying. Your music is louder than your voice 🤦🏻♀️
I build a d15b2 block with a d16z6 head VTEC and 272 Delta camshaft and Y8 head gasket and light weight flywheel and gd clutch and gd air filter and I was real impressed with suck combos is in my CRX wow fast gd to travel for such cheap junkyard combo and program p08 ECU really express the hell out me I only expend around a g with header and Free flow exhaust system and the result is beautiful sounds nice like a muscle car in the gas station and and a Ferrari in the highway is around 11 compression or 10.5 build mostly from junkyards parts really know bad best cheap mini me in my opinion all motor I don't like turbo my is more old school style and amigo gd job
Looks like it's hot out. Lol
