Alien Isolation is such an underrated gem, I played it this year for the second time and loved every single moment of it, it was unfairly slammed with a score of 5.8/10 by IGN upon launch, probably due to the fact that their cro magnon skulls could not process the game mechanics nor get ahold of what the game stands for in the first place. Concerning Dead Space, I love all of the 3 games, I would say the first original DS was my favorite because I found it to be the scariest given the fact Isaac was not given a voice which made it way eerier, DS2 was great as well, for many, it is the scariest in the whole series but Idk personally, I find it scary but went through it easily without flinching one second, there was a moment where a necromorph broke in from above through the elevator vent, that's where I abruptly moved my mouse sideways out of getting startled lol, I'd score DS1 a 9.2/10 and 9/10 for DS2, the remake was great but it pales in comparison to the authenticity of the original, as for DS3, I loved it too, the gameplay, the weapon customization and the visuals were top notch, I dug the fact they added optional missions and coop but the only thing they botched is when they derailed off the horror aspect that the series thrives in, they tried to veer the pendant maybe 30% to action while preserving 70% for horror, it was hated for that worldwide but I don't think it really deserves that, they did a great job with the aesthetics, cementing it as a worthy game despite criticisms upon the storyline and the horror-action course it was taken on. Either players, critics, developers can be hit and miss but it is what it is
