Has it really been so very long ago since I first heard your beautiful music? You sit so peacefully, before a garden that has been a friend to me, so many years ago. I was so much younger then. I thought that every day would be as lovely as that garden, that familiar engawa where I walked and even danced so many days for so many years. We sat for Tea, where we laughed and partied, with a houseful of friends, never imagining that it would ever become quiet and yet so full with the shadows of our memories. Now, in the silence of the twilight, my heart is filled with a gentle peace, with only the memories floating away, as the notes of your flute tiptoe silently beyond time.

The sound of this in a natural environment, no studio enhancement, is spectacular! The whole walking meditation is beautiful to behold. I have only started shakuhachi in the last 2 weeks. Oh, to have discovered this instrument decades ago. I have a slight advantage of already being a woodwind player, but the shakuhachi is a whole new world. I will be satisfied with the level I can attain from this point in my life and enjoy the journey. I respect the many decades of dedication for you to be able to share this and I thank you for doing so.

Thank you Adrian for your wonderful music. Please can i ask Is there a special breathing technique need to master for playing well shakuhachi ? I tried to match your single breath in blowing shakuhachi with my normal long single breath as i meditate but i failed😢
