Btw, I do take naps after work. Teaching is so mentally and physically draining (and emotionally too) at times. Anyways, love your vlogs! :)

I have followed your videos from your classroom setup days and I am really saddened to hear about your leaving the profession but can totally understand. I have been doing it for 14 years and to be completely honest if I had known now what I knew back when I was going to college, I don't believe I would have chosen to become a teacher. I myself am struggling to figure out what exactly I would do if I was not a teacher. Even though there is so much stress and negativity, I do feel like I am really good at what I do and still find joy in certain aspects of teaching. I have thought about transitioning out of the classroom into a teacher coach role but those positions are extremely hard to come by. I hope you find what you are looking for and hope your photography continues to take off!

I loved the teaching clips...I enjoy your teaching style! I was very enlightened by the Sold a Story podcast. I binge-listened during Christmas break while simultaneously referring to the book The Six Shifts. I have been able to change pieces of my instruction based on SOR. I feel like my district is just starting to seek out information about SOR and I'm hopeful for some powerful changes in the coming years.

I understand how you feel. I have been teaching 27 years the same grade level, first. I have had my shares of really difficult years...really difficult, this year included. However, what I can say is and what really keeps me going is that I truly do believe every experience, every difficult situation happens for a reason. I know it is very difficult to see how you will get through a difficult year (like mine this year), but this, too shall pass and you will be ok. Hang in there...love, love your videos, btw. <3

Great classroom! I would keep the white piece of furniture with It looks like a computer trolley. Depending on where the outlets are, you may need it and you might want it when modelling/teaching from the front of the room.
