Thoughts go out to the areas affected by the Helene flooding, many of which I love to visit. Consider helping out with disaster relief organizations. Nice, I haven't had much luck in recent outings.
What flies are you using?
@@adfentures Mostly a parachute adams with a perdigon to get down in the fast water.
@Billflyfish Thanks you the info
Ol biggun barely fit in your viewing tank!🤣 Beautiful water, beautiful fish.
@melbrooks100 Yeah I'd debated putting him in there. He was just enough for it.
Those are some beautiful wild native rainbows as are the browns.
Beautiful warpaint!!!
Ha! That looked like a nice one at your feet at 3:54 or so lower right!!! Just amazing action. Another very enjoyable video, thanks!
YOOOOOOOOOOOO NIce fishing yoooooooooooooo
Question: where can I find one of those clear viewing boxes you use to photograph the fish in? Beautiful scenery, thanks for sharing.
@@cernhutch Amazon. Clear flower planter.
Beautiful Brookies, beautiful creek--tiiiiiiiiight cover. Wow!
Thanks for the video. You appear pretty good at this fly-fishing thing! I have driven past this area several times on my way to Yellowstone and back towards Three Forks. Is this stretch public or private?
Thanks, I'm ok I guess. The access I used was private. I thought I'd try it since it was right behind where I was staying. I'm pretty sure it can be publicly accessed at the bridge or from the Madison. Just have to stay below the high water mark.
So, that whopper from the dead trees, did he have some spot in him or was he straight Bartram’s? Whatever, NICE fish! Always appreciate you showing the chubs and redbreast too
It may have some spot in him, not sure. The black on the belly may indicate a little bit. The rest of the markings seem to be Bartram's.
I ran it by the DNR expert. He thinks it's probably a pure Bartram's. He said this area is almost completely pure and Bartram's can get to that coloration.
Wow! That is a really nice one! Glad to know there are some that size that haven’t been hybridized.
@@melbrooks100 You can find them up to 15". Anything above that and it's more than likely hybridized.
Damn, I've paddled section IV many times but never saw Bull Sluice look like that. 😮
Never seen Georgia rock under water like that.
Pretty sweet
incredible sight
Thanks for sharing!!
its awesome you guys have water over there....our creeks are dry in the high country.....that one w/ blue spots is incredible....never seen that...
Love seeing the “jackdog” (hellgramite) ! I grew up catching those for bait. You’re about 15 minutes from my house this time. 🤣 I’m really surprised at the action there, I would have thought that as popular as that spot is that it would get a lot of pressure, but maybe it’s mostly hiking/swimming folks. Great video!
@melbrooks100 Yeah, I was happy. Only 15-20 from my house too.
The places you find to fish are incredible, also you have opened my eyes to where to fish. I have been walking by a lot of fish. I think you could catch a trout in a in a 5 gallon bucket of water in a Walmart parking lot.
@myakkafly3506 I probably spend too much time on the marginal spots and cost myself time at the better spots. But I always think that there may be one in a small spot it'd be cool to pull one out from there.
Having watched what you do, I’m going to look at things a lot differently.
Another great video. The ones around 9:15 and 11:30 were real beauties! But the one that hung you up, awesome fish glad you got him. They are really active right now, I’m having really good luck every trip. Thanks for the vid!
Yeah, I didn't expect to find him on the end of the line. They've been really active all year like you've said. Been a fun time.
Another great video, what kind of flies are you using? I’m new to this kind of fishing, and only get to do it every 4 to 6 months.
A parachute mayfly and a beaded soft hackle dropper usually.
Thanks, I’m going to try them in November.
So..? They don't talk in SC...?😂
@@davidmills4912 Lol. Never felt the desire to talk on my videos.
Nice💛💛💛💛💙
Those Brookies were just incredible! Thanks for another beautiful video! Stunning area.
So, at :40 is that a rock being chunked in the river?!
@melbrooks100 No, it was some huge Bartram's jumping who then refused to acknowledge any fly thrown that way. Last time I went out two that big did the same thing.
Dang! Thats crazy!
Very nice! I was there mid week early morning and got my PB Bartram’s That one fish at around 12:00 had incredible markings! Thank you!
Make sure to keep up the good work!
Gorgeous little fish!!! Such incredible colors. Thanks for another beautiful video.
Nice fishing Bill!
I was in Graham county a few weeks ago and the water was a lot lower than normal but, nothing like that. It amazes me where you find fish.
Just found your channel and wow, it’s awesome! Love that there’s no loud music or yelling and screaming drama, just beautiful scenery and nice fishing. Thank you!
Thanks!
Nice relaxing video. Curious to know what flies you're using. You don't have to be specific, just general types. Ty.
@@FL-PHILLIP Just a Sam's One Bug
What a useless video
What length and weight rod? I’m guessing a 71/2 3wt.
@@myakkafly3506 Close. It's a 7'2" 3 wt glass.
Another Great One ! Beautiful creek and fish.
such a dreamy creek bro
I really enjoy your videos, you have a talent for finding some incredible streams to fish. I can tell by your pictures you really appreciate the incredible beauty of nature. You notice the little things that most people ignore. For me hunting and fishing is more about the process or journey than the outcome. Your videos make me think you think the same way. Well Done, Thanks
Thanks. I've come to really enjoy the pictures. I do enjoy mostly exploring into the small streams and don't mind occasionally getting skunked. May not enjoy it as much if I got skunked most of the time though, need a little fishing reward at the end.
I agree, I’m in the learning process of mountain trout fishing and if I end up catching just A fish it feels like a success!
Nice trifecta! Love seeing those big brookies in there competing with the browns and rainbows. Great video!!
Beautiful stream, beautiful fish. What was the elevation you were fishing at if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks for video!
About 3700 ft
Incredible stream! What’s your go to rod and reel setup for this size water? Thanks for sharing Bill.
I use a 7'2" 3 wt glass rod. Pretty much what I use for all small streams.
What a day! Glad to see someone loves the small South Carolina streams like I do. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks! I tend to enjoy the small streams more than the bigger ones.
💕Wow💚💜💜💜💚💜💜
It’s great to see the size of the stonefly’s
Nice fishing Bill
Those are some nice fish Bill.
Nice fish
Great approach. many think they need to wade out into a river, when the big ones are often feeding next to the near shore and a 20 ' cast is sufficient. Often you need to crawl across to keep your shadow or profile from the water surface. The big ones spook first, that is why they live to be big! Iguana
Looks like hickory creek in neosho mo
Nice fishing Bill
Thanks!
I'm moving to the upstate from the lowcountry later this year. Really looking forward to exploring for SC trout in the foothills. Thanks for the videos!
