1979 Custom Double Neck Patrick Lamb
Jimmy Page playing Stairway To Heaven or Don Felder Playing Hotel California are iconic images of double neck guitars in concert. The purpose was for those players to switch from 6 string to 12 string format without having to change guitars.
Patrick Lamb brought a double neck that was a 6 string and bass double neck. In a show band, a guitar player would reach around while he played bass.

The 2018 Fender Shattercaster is beyond distressed. The schizophrenic interpretation of a classic guitar was built in Europe and played on stage by Bob Jackson with Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels. If Picasso made guitars, this might be The Devil With The Blue Dress.

Sometimes it is the story more than the guitar. When a person loves a guitar, it has emotional value.

Gibson will sue the broken guitar is part of Gibson's authenticity.
I can only think of that Joe Pesci meme: “wtf is this pos?!”
i just got a 75$ telecaster from A i have no complaints she plays well
this had to take alot of measuring
Hendrix should have made one. It would have allowed him easier access to the upper frets.
If Hendrix had played it,it would be worth millions.❤️🎸.
That looks like a mexico neck.
I want to see one using a rickenbacker…a ‘broken-backer’…or a ‘ricken-hacker’…😂😂😂
I can't unsee that now. :-)
Made the same double take…😂
I Love It!
Trashocaster
You better trademark that name. 🙂
It's got a Squier neck plate. Maybe just a jacked up Fender Squier.
Here's the designer www.devilandsons.guitars
👍
Awesome! Damn I love music
Thanks for being here. We all share that love.
Around 20.000$
"Fedner" on the headstock, a Squier neck plate. Sure... it's a "Fender" if that's what you want to call it. More like a weirdly designed Squier with a weird water slide decal on the headstock. That abomination is definitely a shat.
Not my taste either, but it is "show business"
This is a one-of-a-kind piece of art as far as I’m concerned. If my wife would not divorce me I would definitely spend $5k on it. All the subtle detail that went into it is awesome. And it’s playable!
Brother.....I can 100% make you a crooked stratocaster
Devil and sons make these in the UK, that's who he's referring to
Wow, she sold it at the show! Awesome.
Another great story
I like the post credits/behind the scenes bit on this one!
It's always a skill to know people more intelligent than yourself. At least I find it useful. This kind of guitar is right up my street.
Love the colour.
What a win!
Done!
I like this story. What a character too.
Paul Reed Smith is such an interesting guy, and sometimes very divisive. I do like that Orange very much
I love hearing about first builds. Glad Bryan was there to share.
I thought it was really broken at first glance.
That’s interesting. But I wouldn’t want one
Shatocaster
You've got to love Star inlays.
Ha, this is great. Thanks for getting in contact me, and for becoming a member of my channel. I'm just finalising a kickstarter I'm working on for a guitar I'm launching so super hectic with that, but I will send an email back asap. You star!
You don't need it, but you are picking up new fans. 🙂
@@EGHAS-1113 Thank you so much
Couple of grand for a squier someone butchered... don't think so..
It gets attention.
You can also get attention by walking naked outside…
@@Angel-fz8dr I like to walk around the house naked. My wife told me I have to do it inside. 🙂
@@EGHAS-1113 what if she told you you need to do it outside?
@@Angel-fz8dr She tries to keep me out of trouble. That's why I love her.
There was/is a chap on the U.K ,who built bendercasters, if I remember correctly.
Yanks - They're mad !
What the hell is the point in that?
I think "Show" business explains a lot. 🙂
It's a beat to sh*t Indonesian Squier? Wow. It's still worth around $100 dollars.
I don't think so. I think it was redesigned on purpose. I'll run a story on the luthier this week. Interesting stuff.
This piece is priceless. Owning one is already a lot. Playing on stage is really rock'n'roll!
Shattercaster Live!
That’s a very fair price, especially if it’s American
I don't think it is from this planet. 🙂.
That is so funny. And cool.
It just makes me smile
me too I love it!!
I like how the Guitar is on a stand. And you pick it up turn it around , try to put it on the stand backwards , and you think it can't be on a stand. LOL
Yeah it kinda defies logic doesn't it
I was expecting him to say like 4-5k. that thing is crazy
I was surprised at the 2K amount as well.
You see how the input jack is an outie? Alex Lifeson started having his strats done like that in the 80s. He said it made swapping guitars and cables faster onstage. Easier to find by feel. Trivia.
That's great trivia! If I win a contest with it, I'll split the prize. 🙂
In the 80's he was using Nady VHF 700 wireless transmitters, so there is no plugging or unplugging guitars or cables on stage. Watch any concert from the 80's and pay attention to guitar changes.
@ Go to American Musical Supply channel - video is called “Alex Lifeson’s Lerxst Limelight Guitars”. At 2:14 in the video he explains the jack and why he has it like that.
@@lostinpa-dadenduro7555 I am not arguing the fact he did it at some point in his career. I know he did it and why he did it but, there was no point in doing it that way once he switched to a wireless system around 1981. The wireless system makes the mod completely irrelevant. He was also mostly a Gibson player early in his career and, of course, there was no jack to flip. Cheers.
Interesting chances he took with design.
It's a Fedner according to the headstock
It had to start as something 🙂
@@EGHAS-1113 It probably started as a Squier considering the neck plate has an S logo on it.
@John-Laird : Who the hell is Fedner ??
It's only a matter of time before we get post-apocalyptic rubble relic guitars covered in moss!
Now that you mention it, I want one. :-)
Was this produced by the same people who run Antiques Roadshow? 🤣
No sir. Thanks for the compliment. 🙂
Brilliant
@@DevilAndSons Can I post your website? There seems to be a lot of interest in your work

Yeah, I had to shower after that episode. :-)
