Nice stuff!!. I have the exact same m85 with a dynamic gold re shaft in the exact same condition. It’s one of my faves along my 693 that was re finished and left blonde to show the insane grain. Thanks for sharing

My dad passed away almost a decade ago and his golf clubs I thought were unique. The set is Wood Bros championship forged irons 3-S and a set of Wood Bros "Corker" persimmon driver, 3 wood, and 5 wood with the WB headcovers and a WB golf bag. I don't play with them and I don't know how much they are worth but I rather let someone have them who wants them instead of letting them collect dust in the attic.

Just read a story about Dave Wood and the Woods Bros. Company and Bernhard Langer’s driver he used in the 1993 Masters. Really interesting story. It was from Golf Magazine. Then I realized, you must be the guy they were talking about that he sold those demos to.

Wow :) what a nice collection. I have quite some persimmons my self but I don't knew to much about them. I do play the same Cleveland Ben Crenshaw as you have. But I have a different shaft, mine has the H.E.T. Is there anything you can tell me about that club? I just love it, I´m ripping it. It almost match my modern Callaway. When in Scotland it out drives the new one :)

Utterly stunning craftsmanship

Persimmon is a fruit tree. Why on earth would you want your golf club to be made from a fruit tree? Where do people come up with these weird ideas? Of all the trees to choose from to make a golf club from, why a fruit tree? Why not a Black Walnut tree? Why not a Bois d'Arc tree?

Some great old “playable classics” back in the day till about mid / late 1980’s before technology came out. I think Taylor Made and their metal woods / burner series started the demise of the classic persimmons.

Barry Jaeckle… I’m sure the spelling is incorrect. However, his father was an actor I believe. Wartime movies.

Today’s generation cannot appreciate these! These classic McGregor persimmon Woods, where the grain meets right at the very tip of the toe. Along with the amazing creative classic inserts.
