Thanks for the clip. Just saved me some hassle.
Hiya, the shower tray is a Nuie Pearlstone Rectangular Shower Tray 1000mm x 700mm
What shower tray did you use?
How do you remove the silver part for cleaning? Does it just pop off?
The setting tool works, but you mustn't overdo it as the thread will strip from the fastner.
Lmao 😂
Great video! Could I ask you please, did the extractor housing unit come with the whole for the extractor fan or did you have to cut it to measure? Thank you!
That house is a wreck!
Great vid and job. Pity it was no longer and had you hunker down into oven fitting and hob and tap.
good job
The music is the real Deal 😂😂😂😱
Hello all, currently fitting the Milano Infiante, the plans show an 18mm standoff from the wall but none of the installation guides show how that standoff is achived, anyone got any experiance with this? I can only find batons provided for what looks like the unit fixing together however they're 22mm not 18mm - It's a Sunday so their helpline is closed. Help!
Hiya, thank you for watching the video. I am unsure what you are trying to install? Do you have the full name, part name, etc? Milano Infiante??? Thanks Mark
@@markwarner2529 Hi Mark thanks for coming back, we're installing the infinitate autograph yeah, we've since fiound that the space plugs are used for the wall offfset - ruclips.net/video/odOFXQcl74A/видео.html Thanks!
Try using the setting tool
Looks amazing guys can you recommend what bolts you used to screw the frame it to the walls.
Thank you for watching the video. What I remember is that I used the Easydrive TX Countersunk Concrete Screws from Screwfix or any other DIY store.
Great stuff 👌
Good on you for having a go. Only i think i would have done different is the setting out of the tiles around the window.
No no no. Some poor person is going to buy that house and have to rip all that out. You screwed the backer board with 4 screws. That means you’ve got the weight of the tile, the adhesive and the grout held up on 4 screws. Unbelievable.
Sorry, the backing board is glued and screwed to the wall.
From where to buy this wallpaper ?
I usually get wallpaper for retail DIY shops. 😀 Unfortunately, I can't buy the frames anymore because they have been discontinued from IKEA. 😭
Nice job, it looks good. What height wall units did you use, they look taller than the old kitchen, were they 720mm or 900mm? Was it easy to get the legs on the full-height unit and stand it up, with only a small gap between it and the ceiling?
Nice job. What camera equipment do you use to record this?
:-) I recorded all my videos using my Google Pixel phone probably not the right equipment for most people, I guess :-)
@@markwarner2529 thanks. It seems to do the job. I don’t like the fish eye effect some get with the go pros. I’m seriously considering filming for RUclips but I’m a bit camera shy lol.
I don’t know if you will read this 8 months down the line, but thanks for taking the time to video your work and give others the confidence to have a go. Did you get that bracket with the basin? I’ve not seen one of those before.
Thank you for your kind messages :-) I purchased the basin bracket from Screwfix it's called 'RAWLPLUG SINKFIX WASHBASIN FIXING KIT ' I would recommend it... £27.99
@@markwarner2529 You’re welcome my friend. Credit where it’s due. Thanks for the info that’s very helpful as I am going to make a start on my bathroom shortly. I am going to use a toilet frame for a wall hung toilet line the one Roger Bisby fits on Skillbuilder, but I think a full on frame like his is a bit overkill for a basin.
Good job. although I do advise everyone to measure the corner to corner angles first ensure the frame is perfectly square.
Great job. I wish you had shown your plinths being fitted. I wonder if you used Plinth Lock.
Yes, I did use the Plinth lock's.
Perfect kitchen to use Plinth Lock on. I would love to get your feedback.
useless. need to know about the fittings underneath.
❤❤very good job!❤
Nice one Mr Warner. All in the detail. Well done. 🙂
Putting tape on the fitting thread just makes them harder to do up. A sure sign that who ever did the work does not know what he's doing.
Thank you for your comment, I guess everyone is different how someone fits a isolation valve. This is a learning curve and doing something wrong is part of making mistakes and putting it right for the next time. Renovating a bathroom is expensive, and not everybody would want to take on the project. I found this very rewarding when it was finally completed. I could pay someone to install the bathroom for £4-5k but I managed to fit and install the bathroom for just over £1000. Thank you for watching my video. Mark
This is literally what ptfe tape is designed to do. It has no other purpose.
Hi, great video. The flexi pipe that burst is something that normally happens when the cold pressure to the house is too much for the flexi to handle different pressures go to different areas. Some stop taps are better not turned fully on. also the compression joint on the flexi i noticed you ptfe taped the thread. This doesnt do anything with compression joints as its the olive what seals the fitting. Can always ptfe the olive this helps or jointing compound.
It's one of those things should YOU or NOT put on 'PTFE Tape' on the compression joints. I have seen so many different videos out there. Yes, I have recently started putting PTFE tape around the Olive & Compression joints. I will consider this next time I may think differently at this point. It always plays on people's minds what if. Thank you for watching my video.
I think you did a very nice job there. My only feedback would be about the bathroom hot and cold supply lines to the bath taps. In my opinion it would have been better to dispense with the flexible pipes and rework the supplies so they run vertically up alongside the panel timber supports and then make one piece lines using pipe benders to run from the tap to supply isolators.
Hi Norman, I totally agree with you on the copper pipes and how they look for some reason I did not want to drain the entire system possibly I had the washing machine going that day or something else, I can't quite remember. I do have flexible tap connectors on both Hot and Cold feed under the bath. Thank you for watching my video
Looks great!
Always put the bath in first then tile onto it, much better seal.
Thank you for your message. I will consider this when I do my next refurbishment. I guess everyone is different in how they fit a bath into the wall. The reason why I fitted the tiles first before the bath I didn't want to straight over the bath and prevent an accident or damage to the bath. Thank you for watching my video.
@@markwarner2529 a lot of the plumbers from eastern bloc tile first, including the floor, they seal up all the holes in the floor then put the bath in on wall battens and seal it to the wall.
@@juliestreet8688 Thanks Julie, I'll keep that in mind for my next one. 🙂Seal all holes on the chipboard floor. wow! I bet they didn't do this 20 years ago 😂I could have done this when I first install the bath, but on the other side where the Lino flooring was placed. I could not take up the original flooring :-( it was so, so, so, sticky underneath I could not lift my foot from the floor, so I decided to leave the original one down, placed the new lino flooring on top and seal around the edges with silicone for a clear finish. Thanks Mark
@@juliestreet8688 We don't do it this way. Bath in first and tile to the top of the bath.
Have you put the bath overflow pipe into the wrong fitting of the waste ? I’d have guessed the actual waste to your drain is the bottom connection , and the connection high up is for overflow , and if the waste was turned round to inline with overflow , there is no chip board on that part of the.m bath
Hiya, no, it's all fitted correctly. I guess if the waste pipe was going the other way I wouldn't need to remove any of the chipboard from the bath. I didn't really want an extra U bend under the bath, so the flow of the water runs away quicker in a straight pipe. Yes, the high end connection does turn 360 depending where the waste pipe is traveling. Hope this makes sense. 🤔 Thanks Mark
Hes using a mcalpine clicker bath waste, brilliant things
@@markwarner2529 we disconnect the waste from the bath, fit the pipe, reconnect to bath. If still no room for the nut, you can swivel those mcalpine wastes so nut is under fibreglass bit
I agree, he’s fitted the overflow incorrectly.
Have you got a pressure reducing valve on your pipework? Those flexis are only guaranteed up your 5 bar I think!
Hello, no I didn't fit a pressure reducing valve. Our combe boiler is set to 2.5 bars, so I didn't fit one. Thanks Mark
@@markwarner2529 your combi boiler pressure is nothing to do with hot and cold pressure…
Amazing
I'm a joiner of 26 years, whist it may have taken you a bit longer you have made what looks to be a very nice job of that mate. Respect for having the cahonies to take it on and we all have a struggle to get everything level and plumb at times 👍👌
BUT HOW DO I REMOVE A BRITISH CLOGGED SHOWER TRAP? I TOOK ALL THE SCREWS OUT BUT IT DOES NOT BUDGE.
Really nice job and a massive improvement, well done 👏 I am just about to undertake the same project once I can figure out how to remove the thermostatic mixing valve on the bath, the bath is coming out so the valve will be redundant, any ideas viewer's? 🤔
Thank you for your comment. Go for it :-) it's a learning curve if you have never tackled a bathroom project yourself. I personally would label the pipes with 'Hot and 'Cold' so you don't get confused when renovating the bathroom. Turn off the water from the mains and fit "Isolation valves" when removing the "Thermostatic mixing valve", so you can continue with the project and turn the water back on. If you don't feel convenient, seek advice from a local plumber near you. I am renovating the bathroom now right I will be publishing the bathroom when it's completed.
Top job did you use ready mix for the tiles did you use any push fits
Yes, I won't lie. I did use already made Mapei mix, slightly more expensive and JG Speedfit Push fit fittings they are much easier to install. I highly recommend them. Thank you for your comment and watching my video. Thanks Mark
Cracking job mate well done
Thank you for your comment that's really nice to hear.
1.5m pipe centres?
1.5mm? Do you mean a 15mm copper pipe or something else? Thanks Mark
Looks good, we’ve just bought a 3 bed semi we’re completely renovating but bought a BnQ kitchen. Worktop completely different we got a hi-macs one but might have to get someone in to cut that. My partner and I have put all the kitchen units and that together and I have done all the plumbing and whatnot. Stressful when renovating a house as you may know!
I totally agree, it can be stressful at times, especially moving all the furniture while docating.
No it isnt a game changer! Its not the tool, its the person using it and owning one wont make you competant at using one! Worktops, plywood and mdf are all a tad expensive to practice on. In addition you may never use it again, so around 400 quid sits in the shed. Getting someone in will probably cost similar - if they turn up! Workshop express will sell you the top, cut it wherever required, including masons mitre, sink aperture, hob aperture etc, a lot cheaper than the makita. Then deliver it all to your do.
Nice job my only question is why didn’t you tile the floor?
Great question. I've never tiled a floor. Slightly nervous on the outcome if all goes wrong and the cost of it. This was my 1st time laying the lion flooring and fitting the shower too. I have watched so many RUclips videos it's unreal. Thank you for your feedback and watching my video. Thanks Mark
Good job. I’ve done something similar as a diyer and it’s a bigger job than it looks
Thank you for watching the video. I totally agree it did take a little longer than I originally planned. My wife is happy though :-)
Great stuff. Just doing this myself to my one and only bathroom :)
Enjoy its a learning curve if you've never done this before. Good Lock :-) and thank you for watching the video.
@@markwarner2529 First time :)
Very beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Respect for having ago fella it's not easy if you've never done it before especially if you've got to butcher the units. Doing your own kitchen is stressful. Laser would have help.
Thank you for your message. Yes, I did use a Laser Level to fix the cabinets together as shown in the video. Thanks Mark
Hi Nice job, I have ordered the same doors in different colour. Is it possible to see the inside of the lock which way yale is written. As the doors I have do not fit. Thanks
Thank you for watching my video. I suggest taking the 'Lock Cover' from both sides and turning the key to see what happens, alternatively turn the 'Lock Barrel' around and try again. I didn't have a problem with the door lock itself. The only, issue I experienced was that fitting the France doors into both rods was challenging and it was getting dark too. I can post a picture of the 'Lock Barrel' on my Instagram if you like? Thanks Mark
Mark, watching this has made me believe I can do the same thing. With the right tools and a lot of patience I'm gonna go for it.
Thanks Ian, I leant alot thoughout the whole process of installing the Kitchen specially cutting the worktop. I can't say, I wasn't nervous! :-) Thank you for watching the video.
If you use the setting tool this will expand the wall anchor correctly, you then only use a driver to tighten up to the fixing/bracket you are putting up.
