    Yes. Because in real life we hear sound in 3D. The most important reason of perceiving sound depth is Doppler effect. Also the way sound is reflecting has an important role. The amplitude is just the intensity of the sound wave, it dose not have any directional data... like if you have 2 speakers and keep the one with the low volume near and the loud one faraway, you will still be able to guess the correct distance! well, it's all physics and I'm not sure if audio engineering/music also works the same way...

    The opening statement is not entirely true. When you use open back headphones, the external environment does interact with the sound you are hearing. But it's mostly about having a quiet environment when you're using open back headphones.

    Why make drum tracks so much complicated? Each one has to be in mono except Kick and Snare. Those both can be in 2 channels as 2 kick channels and 2 snare...Just adding a suitable Eq and compressor will do. Pan is also important in placing on the stereo spectrum. Can add gate on kick channels in case wanted tightness and to avoid clashes with bass. May add a Sub kick channel too. It's just my opinion 😊

    The strange thing with bass traps that trapping bass require insane depth, think about 15 cm deep acoustic panels raised away by another 15 cm from the wall. I would not bother with these cube foam traps they sell as "bass traps" these aren't gonna affect the sub 300 hz range. But for vocals it doesn't really matter. They look cool tho

    I think you get a much better result with just focusing on being creative and only balancing your mix volumes with just the gain plugin and avoid any corrective EQ in the early stages of the process, especially when starting out as producer. Top tip! If something is sounding too thin then it probably is and this shouldn’t be corrected with a boost in eq, instead choose another instrument or tweak the instrument knobs for desired sound designing effect or add another layer to the existing sound. This will result in a more dynamic and added depth in your final mix.

    i would also like to add ,even. if you want get a desired sound ,edit the sound immediately after you recorded. so when you'll add another instrument you'll have context of first sound to blend the second sound in. great video.

    The greatest producer of all time, Daniel Lanois, mixes as he records. But yes, for beginners probably not the best idea.

    • @mphub.official
      @mphub.official 5 месяцев назад

      Absolutely agree. In fact, an experienced producer, like any other experienced creative, is able to foresee (fore-hear) the final product before they start doing it. So they could confidently start polishing the sound for the targeted outcome. 😄 That's where you would see I mentioned about 'gauging' the final sound. And, surely, it is not for beginners or even intermediates
