Goemon 2 wont work on my ed x5
I'll test on my x7, but is your x5 firmware updated to the latest?
Are you using the using in built nes emulator for goemon 2 or you mean one the n64 games?
1000% worth it over the everdrive. I do agree that the CMD interface is a pain but with some tutorials it can be done.
It might be possible with an update to allow the user to edit settings through the options menu without the configuration file. After that it's just preference and a slightly faster time with the everdrive. Who knows maybe they can make it load just as fast.
Can you add hacks? Mine didn’t come with any hacks 😢
Yes it's super easy. just get your rom and patch it with the hack. be weary though not all hacks run on the n64.
@ thank you much, i will give that a try
do the n64 Zelda games work? I heard a rumor they don't
I assume you mean for the summer cart. I haven't tried it yet but I can and then I'll will let you know.
I played ocarina of time up until I got into the deku tree and saves worked fine. In majoras mask, I got up to taking the deku mask off and saves work their as well. So I didn't see any issues with ether game.
So is it worth it ?
Yes
Very nice to see open source options, even with another FPGA inside. I'm happy with my original ED-64 though (v3, I think). Everything just works fine.
Krikzz is devoting his life to flash carts, even through the war. You'd have to be really hurting for money to want the Summercart instead.
Yea I am just thinking of the common person. most people don't care and just want the cheapest option. I prefer the ever drive over all because ease of use especially with options. I think it is possible the summer cart can be as good as the ever drive through updates but only time will tell.
They have always been expensive, even before that. Competiton should never be discouraged, if you feel strongly about his position, that's totally fine if you want to buy an Everdrive.
Summercart is open source, which is huge. That brings in a ton of development and possible features than the everdrive ever could bring in
Didn't he leave the country and his employees behind and move to spain?
@ because of the war
Do the carts make the image of the games more clear or is that another part of your set up?
No my N64 has something called a RETROGEM installed which outputs a 1440p signal and can help smooth out texture edges
Ok now eat it
I want it :D
So many mods id prefer to see. I like having my disc drive so i think the flippy drive is a better option, or a pico boot. Personally im using the action replay exploit to launch swiss. That BlueRetro adapter you installed is amazing, love being able to put the cube to sleep from the controller. The last two are just personal preferences, id prefer an original broadband adapter because that third party one is ugly to me (personal option) i also prefer the original power plug and only because i like using old school accessories like mobile screen and a rebuilt battery pack for the bottom
My 2nd GameCube will getting the flippy drive installed I'm just waiting for it to be delivered I might do a comparison of the 2. I might get an original broadband for it as well. thankfully the usb-c mod is very easily reversable just 2 connectors and some screws.
What is the thing on the side, looks like an Ethernet connection spot
Yea that's a ETH2GC side car. It allows you to connect an ethernet wire, the only downside is you need to use the software known as swiss for it to work.
It's a cheaper broadband adapter versus original. It uses serial port 1 instead of 2
