Jay Leno didn’t even really want to retire in 2013/2014, he was forced out again. the reason he had to go along with it is the people protected him/loved him back in the 90s and 2000s, were no longer in those positions. he was effectively a man on his own island. although i can see why people say he went out on his own terms since he did say in 2010, he didn’t see himself doing this job for no more than 4 or 5 years (matches up with the timeline).
Why are you bringing up letterman when it’s a nbc issue?
Now I know where you got the background music for Hulk Hogan Experience, etc from!
Hi! I'm curious if there is any way that you can enable the subtitles\closed captioning for this video? Thank you!
Nice, I love that movie ❤ can't wait to hear what you think about that masterpiece
Phil was the man who made Nick in the 90s!
#1: Street fighter 3 was definitely my favorite out of the whole series. I understood MQ on that when he first played it. And #2, Have you guys ever listen to Liberty City free radio on grand theft auto Liberty City stories??? The guys on the show Electron Zone Radio sound EXACTLY like a parody of your guy's show, I stg. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 In any case keep up the good work and also you guys always mention your wrestling podcast. What is it called again so I can go check it out?? Big wrestling mark, here.
Hey thanks! I think I only played Liberty City Stories like once haha. Our wrestling show is: www.youtube.com/@OVPsWWF1987Canon (audio version as well, goes way back to 2016)

Did Mr. T ever find work?
Just listened to your guys’ episode on Bob Ross. It brought back some fond memories. I don’t know if you guys watched/ remember THIS OLD HOUSE, but that show was my hangover cure on Sundays in the late 80s to mid-90s. The New England accents were a trip for this Alaskan back in the day. Thank you again, Joe and Quinn, for another great episode.
I beat Tyson without any cheats and always thought Super Macho Man was much more difficult.
It would be great to have an episode on Hulk Hogan Rock and Wrestling cartoon. I remember watching those saturday comics on tv back in the days. Love the podcast. Always fun and entertaining to hear you two !😎👍
I remember being able to listen to neighbor’s calls on cordless phones. My friends and I would use 3-way calling to get a bunch of people on the phone and take turns making prank calls. In the early internet days, when you dialed into bulletin board systems (BBS) instead of visiting a website, we’d use a friend’s dad’s company’s calling card to dial into out-of-state BBSs and had to dial *68 (I think) to disable call waiting, or you’d lose your internet connection if someone was trying to call you.
Windows 95 was the moment the world said... "Let's go"
I ran into you guys's podcast a couple of days ago and while I might not listen to every episode topic I really dig the way you guys break down video games as I am a very avid gamer. Speaking of other topics I did indeed listen to the Taco Bell episode as well. I was at work too busy to find another episode to watch but you guys kept me entertained so I continue to listen until the episode was over. You two have something here. Keep up the good work and I shall continue supporting. Definitely can't wait for more gaming topics whether it be hardware or software.
Thanks very much!
👍
You really do a great job of entertaining. Whether you're talking about wrestling or any other retro thing, you're disconcertingly efficient. Your analyzes are interesting and funny, you are thoughtful and you obviously have a chemistry that means that you complement each other wonderfully. I was wondering how old you were to have experienced the emergence of Mortal Kombat. I'm a die hard fan and will probably sign up for patreon soon as I just watched the entirety of Canon 1986 and need a fix... Keep up the great work!!👍
That's really kind of you, thank you! We are both 38.... for now.
Half in, and no word about who MK3 Sub-Zero inspired in 1996?
hahaha didn't even think of it
Sindel is Maude? Bea Arthur = Kombatant?
👍

Great show!
👍
Crazy silly Chanel 3 thumbs up 👍👍👍
REMEMBER RAW DUMPS?
I don't know if you want suggestions but I'm gonna make one anyway. The attempts at being the 5th major tv station. Like upn and the wb
Thanks! Believe or not, that's already on our list of potential ideas!
Massive Seinfeld fan. Learned a bunch of tiny details on the development I didn't know in the first part of this pod!
My favorite TV show.
7-11s were great because they had the video games back in the early 80s, games like Tempest and Battlezone. Plus, the discussion of the Icee ice machine outside 7-11, when Joe said, "There's an awning!" I snorted! Thanks again, you guys, for another great episode!
I'm listening to ep62, and loving your Robert Stack impression, Joe. The Unsolved Mysteries theme, along with the theme from Tales From The Darkside, still give me chills at 50! Joe and Quinn, you guys rule!
Thanks so much!
Good Job
In the south we have captain D’s seafood and long John silver’s too
If you cut the biscuit in half put butter and jelly . That’s a good time
👍
One of the best Pilots ever of any show.
AFV PETS
My friend is from East Brunswick and he knows exactly who you are talking about at Carvel
"WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!!"
I honestly don't know which Pat Sajak was more creepy: His show or the cartoon version of himself on Rugrats?
The original Sonic The Hedgehog game (1991) directly challenged Super Mario World, SNES, and Nintendo for global video game supremacy which sparked the console wars of the early-mid 90s. Sega Genesis was released in 1989 and was far superior to the reigning video game console at the time which was the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). Nintendo's response to Sega's formidable 16-bit system was the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) released in 1991. Both of these machines (the Genesis and SNES) were great and held their own during the famous console-wars of the early-mid 90s. These two powerful machines went toe to toe and depending on who you ask, one was the winner. In my opinion, Sega Genesis had the edge and was the better system. Here's why . . . Nintendo was concerned about it's clean, family-friendly, and 'wholesome' image. Sega came right out the gate with guns blazin'. Sega was not holding back any punches. Sega was hitting hard and was literally letting the blood splatter (in their games). The most well-known example of this was when the extremely popular and violent arcade game Mortal Kombat came to home consoles in 1993. The SNES version did not contain the blood or violence that the arcade game was notable for. SNES owners were very disappointed when they realized their version was tamed. On the other hand, the Genesis version had all the same bloody content from the arcade game (when a code was entered). As a result of this colossal failure, Nintendo realized they had made a huge mistake. They decided to keep all the gore, blood, and violence from the arcade when Mortal Kombat 2 was released the following year (1994) to home consoles. Mortal Kombat 2 on SNES is actually better than the Genesis version. However, there's a number of other titles that are better on Genesis than on the SNES. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Earthworm Jim, Tazmania, NBA Jam, Flashback, Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf, Demolition Man, Jurassic Park, Disney's Aladdin, Robocop vs The Terminator, The Lost Vikings, Joe & Mac, Cool Spot, Mickey Mania, WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game, and The Adventures of Batman and Robin are just a few of the games that are better on Genesis than on the SNES. Don't get me wrong . . . SNES was an excellent system with an absolutely incredible library of games (such as Super Mario World). It's just that the SNES was geared more toward kids while the Genesis was geared more toward teens and adults. Genesis was seen as the more mature and cool system while SNES was viewed more as a toy. Sega made it clear that Genesis Did What Nintendon't.
SEGA!
Sega, the Rob Deer of Consoles. Great and informative episode yet again, Joe and Quinn! Makes life in a bustling kitchen a bit easier!
Hey thank you! Also, ROB DEER. Great reference.
These episodes always help me sleep well at night. Gives me a lot of that comfort food. Anyway, I'd love to see you two do an episode dedicated to my favorite four-season show, "Doogie Howser, M.D." featuring Barney Stinson, the voice of Daxter and Lt. Howard Hunter from "Hill Street Blues", Grandma Flynn from "TRON Legacy" and Captain Brody's dead son from "JAWS: The Revenge".
Whatever happened to that teacher on the space shuttle?
Loved this deep dive. :)
Thanks!
Hey Joe and Quinn, due to my schedule, I'm splitting time between Spotify and this RUclips version of this episode to listen to your 50th episode, and I love it! Thank you guys! And very Happy Holidays from the south of France to you guys and your families!
Thanks so much!!! You as well!
I used to be a Hulkamaniac. Now, I’m just a maniac!

Nice. 👍
I absolutely love this Mario Kart, my favorite racing game ever (its not my favorite genre). I actually played SMK two weeks ago.
